social needs. Our agencies
help nearly 250,000 people
in a number of program
areas, including: families at
risk, children and youth,
women in need of shelter and abuse counselling, services for
single and teen parents, the elderly, refugees and the
education of clergy. Today you can help our agencies
continue to work wonders in our community by supporting
ShareLife, the annual fundraising appeal of our Archdiocese.
Today is the Third ShareLife Collection.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT GOOD SHEPHERD
Good Shepherd Centre, a multi-service charitable agency
providing services to homeless and disadvantaged individuals,
is in need of men’s clothing. Items needed:
 Gently used men’s pants (i.e. jeans, work pants)
 Gently used men’s tee shirts — short or long sleeve
 New pairs of socks (like jogging socks)
 Shoes (like running or boots)

Open House to View the Rectory and Parish Plans
Please join us on Sunday June 2, 2013 from 10:00am to
2:00pm to view the upcoming renovation plans for the
Rectory and Parish!
Our project team members, including our Project Architect,
will be in the basement of St. Francis to show you the plans
and answer any questions you may have.
Come and hear about next steps in the planning process and
when you will start to see and hear the impact of the
construction and renovations.
We look forward to meeting with parishioners to review the
renovations to the Rectory and Parish including the fixing of
the front steps and replacing the coach lights which will
commence early summer; remediating the water infiltration
into the church; and preparing for the installation of a public
washroom on the main floor of the parish which is slated to
commence in the fall alongside the rectory renovations.
Excitement is building! Come join us on Sunday June 2!
We would like to thank those parishioners who have sent us
their information to participate in the pre-qualification
process. We look forward to meeting with you and showing
you the exciting plans for St. Francis!

progetto, saranno nello scantinato della Chiesa di San
Francesco per presentarVi i piani di restauro e per rispondere
alle vostre domande.

all Ministries and for all Volunteers today Sun May 26th at
10:15. There will be important updates and information on
the Parish Screening and Data Base.

ST FRANCIS VOLUNTEER MEETING
TODAY AT 10:15 AM
V’invitiamo a partecipare all’incontro d’aggiornamento per
tutte i Ministeri e tutti i Volontari alla parrocchia di San
Francesco. Fra le cose che dovremo fare, cerchiamo di
stabilire da quanto i diversi membri hanno partecipato a un
incontro di formazione/aggiornamento. Sappiamo tutti che la
preparazione fatta dieci anni fa, dev’essere anche
aggiornata. Se no, il nostro servizio non sarà d’un livello
giusto. Ci sarà la possibilità di partecipare anche in italiano —
non mancate!
Ministry of the Liturgy of the WORD for Children Children are invited to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word in
their own special way at the 11:30 a.m. Mass every Sunday
until the summer. This special celebration of the Liturgy of the
Word for Children is a joy-filled and relaxed experience for
children.
Thank you to the catechists who are proclaiming God’s Word
to these children!
Attendiamo di incontrarci con i Parrocchiani per esaminare
insieme i progetti di ristrutturazione della rettoria e della
parrocchia, inclusi tra questi le riparazioni alle scalinate
frontali e il ripristino delle lanterne al portico della Chiesa che
incominceranno all’inizio dell’estate; gli interventi per smaltire
l’infiltrazioni d’acqua nella Chiesa; e la preparazione per la
costruzione di un bagno pubblico sul piano principale della
parrocchia la quale e` progettata ad iniziare nell’autunno in
concomitanza con i lavori di restauro alla rettoria.
L’entusiasmo cresce! Quindi, Vi aspettiamo, domenica, 2
giugno!
Ringraziamo tutti i Parrocchiani che hanno fornito i loro dati di
contatto per partecipare alla gara di prequalifica per
appaltatori. Ci auguriamo di incontrarVi e di poter mostrarVi
gli avvincenti progetti in avvio alla Chiesa di San Francesco
d’Assisi!

do an internship in the College/Ossington area. He is looking
for a small place to live during his year long programme that
