Scriptural Reflection Group
The Scriptural Reflection Group will be meeting this Tuesday
evening at 7:30 p.m. in our Meeting Room. Please note that they
will not be meeting on April 22nd and their last session will be held
on April 29th.
Volunteer Appreciation Evening
2nd Collection – TODAY
Today we take up the 2nd of 3 Sharelife Collections. Envelopes are at
the entrance of the church if you need them. Thanks to your
generosity, we’ve raised $15,649 so far, which will be distributed to
Sharelife’s 34 agencies!

Campaign 2007-2008
Thanks to you all for continuing to contribute to our Restoration
Campaign! We truly appreciate your commitment to this parish. To
date, we’ve raised about $371,000 for our Capital Campaign Fund. As
you can see, the work is being done and we have already started to
make scheduled payments, so please keep the momentum and your
contributions coming in. If you haven’t had a chance to do so already,
please consider a donation of $1,000, either in one lump sum or in
instalments. Some can afford less and some can do more, but each
and every donation is appreciated! Thank you!

55+ Group
The 55+ group will be meeting this Thursday, April 17th at 9:30
a.m. in the Parish Hall for some pizza and a game of Bingo. All
the young at heart are invited!
St. Anthony Committee Meeting
This is the committee that helps to plan our annual Feast of St.
Anthony. All committee members or anyone wishing to help out,
please attend a meeting on Tuesday, April 15th at 8 p.m.
Parish Council Meeting
Our Parish Council meets on Wednesday, April 16th at 7:30 p.m. in
our Meeting Room.
MINISTERS OF COMMUNION TO THE SICK
There is a meeting of all Ministers of Communion to the Sick on
Thursday, April 17th at 8 p.m. in the parish meeting room. If
anyone is interested in this ministry, please speak with Fr. Ernie.
A BIG Thank goes out to all who help the church in so many ways
during the year. Thank you to our Musicians, Singers, Ushers,
Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Decorators, Office Workers, Catechists,
Maintenance people – all our volunteers who are willing to lend a hand
at the drop of a hat! We appreciate you! This year, we’d like to invite
you to our APPRECIATION EVENING on Friday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m.
in the Parish Hall.
St. Vincent de Paul
Marygrove Camps
Our parish St. Vincent de Paul Society will be taking
registrations for girls wanting to attend Marygrove
Summer Camp. Marygrove Camp is operated by the
Society of St. Vincent de Paul and is for girls between the ages of 5
and 13. This is a one week excursion, is free of charge, and is
intended for girls who would not otherwise be able to afford a summer
camp experience. If you are interested in applying, please attend a
meeting on Wednesday, April 30th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the parish
meeting room.
May is the Month of Mary
The month of May is traditionally observed as a time
of special devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. We
are encouraged to pray the Rosary and participate in
special devotional events in honour of Our Lady. On
Thursday, May 1st at 7:30 p.m., there will be a
special celebration in our church to honour the Mother of God. We
will have recitation of the full Rosary (all 20 decades) with songs and
crowning of our Lady. Please join us.
Mothers’ Day Communion Breakfast
Come and join us for our Mother's Day Communion Breakfast at
La Contessa Banquet Hall on Sunday May 25th. We’ll begin our
day with morning Mass at 9 a.m. followed by a full breakfast.
We’ll have raffles and door prizes too. This would make a
wonderful Mother’s Day gift! Tickets are on sale today after the
Masses. They are $25 per adult and $20 for children 12 and
under and everyone is welcome. You may also order a corsage
for the women in your life – your mother, wife, girlfriend or
daughter.
Win a $1000!
To help raise funds for our Capital Campaign, the Capital
Campaign Event Committee will have 3 cash draws throughout
the year. The first prize is $1,000, the second prize is $500 and
the third prize is $250 for each draw. Our first draw will take
place on May 25th at the Mother's Day Communion Breakfast.
Please take home a booklet of 10 tickets to sell to family and
friends. Tickets are one for $5 or three for $10. Tickets and
booklets will be available this weekend after the Masses. They
will also be available to buy (or pick-up) at the office. Tickets and
money must be returned to the church by Sunday, May 18th.

Campagna 2007 - 2008
Grazie a voi che continuate a contribuire alla nostra Campagna
Restauritiva! Apprezziamo, veramente il vostro impegno per la nostra
chiesa. Fino ad oggi, abbiamo raccolto circa $371,000. Come vedete,
i lavori sono in progresso e abbiamo già dovuto pagare delle spese,
quindi chiediamo gentilmente di continuare a questo passo con le
vostre offerte, così possiamo continuare ad affrontare le spese che
verranno. Se ancora non avete potuto fare un’offerta, considerate un
offerta di $1,000, a poco a poco o ad una volta. Sappiamo che c’è chi

Colazione nel’occasione della Festa delle Mamme
Venite a celebrare la Festa delle Mamme con noi, presso La Contessa
Banquet Hall, domenica mattina, 25 maggio. Iniziamo con la Messa
alle 9 a.m., celebrata da don Ernesto, sequita da una bella colazione.
Ci saranno anche degli sorteggi e chi vuole può comperare un
“corsage” per vostra mamma/moglie/fidanzata o figlia. I biglietti sono
in vendita oggi e sono $25 per adult e $20 per bambini di 12 anni e in
meno.
Potete Vincere $1000!
Per continuare a raccogliere fondi per la nostra Campagna, il comitato
organizzerà 3 sorteggi durante l’anno per la vincita di fino a $1,000. Il
primo premio sarà di $1,000, il secondo di $500 e il terzo sarà di $250
per ogni sorteggio. Il primo sorteggio avrà luogo durante la
celebrazione delle mamme alle Contessa Banquel Hall il 25 maggio.
Favorite prendere un libretto di 10 biglietti per venderli ai vostri amici
e parenti. Il prezzo è $5 per un biglietto, oppure 3 per $10. I libretti
saranno disponibili dopo le Messe questo weekend oppure all’ufficio.
Si prega di consegnare tutti i biglietti e soldi a un rappresentante del
comitato in chiesa per domenica, 18 maggio. Grazie.

Sing-Along Fundraiser
You are invited to attend an evening of fun, free refreshments,
finger food, entertainment and lucky draw prizes. The purpose is
to support needy school children in St. Lucia and to help less
fortunate families in the Parish of St. Benedict through lunch
programs, school supplies, uniforms, book, shoes, etc…. This
Fundraiser will be held at HOLY ROSARY PARISH, at 356 St. Clair
Ave. W., on Saturday, May 3rd from 7:30 – 10:00 p.m.
