Any adult, or young child 7 years of age or older, who is desiring
to be baptized in the Catholic Church, or to be received in the
Catholic Church, having been baptized in another Christian
denomination, is asked to call the office in the near future and
receive further details. If you know someone in this situation,
please invite them to contact us.

A NEW STATUE OF ST. CLARE for our
100th Anniversary
Local artist, Antonio Caruso, has recently carved a life-size
wooden sculpture of our Patron Saint. This unique masterpiece
will be presented to our parish and unveiled next Sunday, the
Feast of St. Clare, and official opening of our 100th year
Anniversary, during the 12 Noon bilingual solemn Mass. His
Eminence, Cardinal Collins, will bless this statue during the
celebration which he will preside at, on Sunday, September 8th,
also at Noon. Anyone wishing to contribute towards the statue
may pick up an envelope at the doors of the church and place it
in the regular Sunday collections.

New Beginnings
Do you know someone who has experienced the death of a
spouse, a separation or divorce? If you or someone you know is
searching for hope and spiritual encouragement after such
a loss, join us for an informal gathering in the parish meeting
room on Monday, August 12th, at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed
Catholic Cemeteries – Archdiocese of Toronto wishes to invite all
families within the Archdiocese of Toronto to participate in the
Annual Mass for the Faithful Departed on Wednesday, August 14,
2013 at 7:00 p.m. Please check the bulletin board and the
entrance of the church for Cemetery locations.

“In Kind” Gifts to the Parish
As mentioned in the last little while, as we wait for the
Archdiocese’ go ahead for the launch of our Financial
Campaign, we would like to start working on the
following necessary items for our church & hall:
- build a lift from Westmount Ave. into the hall - $35,000
- build barrier free washrooms in the church hall - $45,000
- install a new tabernacle and stand - $40,000 (already paid)
- install a new baptismal font - $48,000
- purchase new tables and chairs for the church hall - $35,000
- safety Railing in the Choir Loft - $5,000 (already paid)
May we count on your support? Special offering
envelopes will be placed at the entrance of the
church next weekend. You will notice that all of the
above items are listed on this envelope and we ask
you to consider offering your support toward one or
any of the items of your choice. Please do all that
you can. With your prayers and generous support,

UNA NUOVA STATUA DI SANTA CHIARA in
ricorrenza del Centennario della parrocchia L’artista
Antonio Caruso ha scolpito per noi una stupenda statua di
Santa Chiara, nostra Patrona, che verrà presentata alla
comunità domenica prossima, 11 agosto, festa della nostra
Santa. È un vero capolavoro d’arte. La statua verrà
benedetta l’otto settembre, dal nostro cardinale che si
troverà con noi per celebrare la Santa Messa alle 12. Chi
desidera contribuire per questa statua potrà ritirare una
busta alle porte della chiesa e deporla nel cestino della
colletta domenicale. Grazie per il vostro contributo.

alla partecipazione della Messa Annuale in memoria dei
nostri cari defunti. Questa Messa avrà luogo mercoledì, 14
agosto alle 7:00 p.m. nei vari cimiteri cattolici di Toronto e
nelle città circostanti.

Volete aiutarci con nuovi progetti necessari per
la nostra chiesa, in onore del Centennario?
Come ben sapete, la diocesi ci ha chiesto di aspettare per
la Campagna di Raccolta finanziaria per pagare il debito dei
lavori fatti negli ultimi due anni. Nel frattempo, però, ci
ha dato il permesso di invitare parrocchiani che
desiderano ad offrire un dono particolare per alcuni
progetti parrocchiali necessari nella parrocchia. Nel
weekend prossimo, chi desidera, potrà prendere
dalla porta della chiesa, buste preparate per questi
progetti, e portare il proprio dono specificando il
progetto verso il quale e’ data l’offerta:
- un’ascensore ($35,000) e bagno ($45,000) in sala
per persone con mobilità limitata e anziane
- nuovo tabernacolo ($40,000) - gia’ pagato
- fonte battesimale ($48,000)
- nuovi tavoli e sedie per la sala ($35,000)
- rinchiera di sicurezza per la cantoria ($5,000) –
gia’ pagata
Pensate per quale progetto offrire il vostro dono.
Tutto quello che abbiamo elencato è necessario sia
per sicurezza e comodità, sia per l’andamento della
liturgia.
In questo CENTENNARIO, offriamo un
dono alla comunità ed in particular modo alle future
generazioni. Come generazioni precedenti hanno
pensato a noi, ed hanno fatto grandi sacrifici per
noi, così anche noi pensiamo a coloro che ci
seguiranno, e offriamo per loro le nostre preghiere, i
nostri doni e la nostra generosità.
