SENTIERO DEL PRÖCH
Si lascia la macchina al parcheggio di Piazzale Roma
(Maderno) ben visibile lungo la Statale 45bis e, attraversata
la stessa, si sale dalla scaletta fronte lago.
Ci si inerpica per un sentiero panoramico fino a
Montemaderno, giunti alla Chiesa dei SS. Faustino e Giovita1
in località Maclino, si gira a sinistra per Via Belvedere, si
mantiene la destra passando sotto un caratteristico volto
del centro storico di Maclino, percorrendo l’omonima. Al
bivio si svolta a sinistra attraverso gli uliveti e si scende per
la strada Rocchetta (sentiero 24) che porta fino alla valle del
Bornico. Lungo il percorso si possono ammirare ampi pianori
con suggestiva vista sul lago. Giunti al torrente Bornico, che
si costeggia sul lato destro, si percorre a scendere la Valle,
e, oltrepassato un tipico frantoio gardesano, si arriva in
Via Bornico. Si mantiene la sinistra fino alla strada Statale
45bis che si costeggia percorrendo la passerella a lago fino
al Piazzale Roma.
lnell’interno della chiesa si possono ammirare due bei quadri del
bresciano Andrea Bertanza, allievo di Palma il Giovane, lo stesso
autore della pala di S.Caterina che si trova nel primo altare a destra della parrocchiale di Maderno.

WANDERWEG „PROCH“
Parken Sie das Auto auf dem Parkplatz „Piazzale Roma“ in
Maderno, der an der Hauptstraße 45bis liegt und überqueren
Sie die Straße. Steigen Sie eine schmale Treppe gegenüber
dem See hinauf. Gehen Sie einen Panoramaweg hinauf bis
Montemaderno. Von der Kirche SS.Faustino und Giovita1
biegen Sie nach links ab in Via Belvedere. Halten Sie sich
rechts und gehen Sie auf der gleichnamigen Straße unter
dem charakteristischen Bogen in dem historischen Dorf
Maclino hindurch. An der Abzweigung biegen Sie nach
links durch die Olivengärten ab und dann auf der Straße
Rocchetta (Wanderweg 24) hinunter bis zum Bornìco-Tal.
Entlang des Weges können Sie schöne, weite
Panoramaaussichten vom Gardasee bewundern. Am Fluss
Bornìco gehen Sie auf seiner rechten Seite das Tal hinunter
und an einer typischen Ölmühle vorbei kommen Sie in
Via Bornico an. Bleiben Sie auf der linken Seite bis zur
Hauptstraße 45 bis und gehen Sie über den Laufsteg am
See entlang bis zum Parkplatz „Piazzale Roma“.
Im Innenraum der Kirche kann man zwei schöne Bilder vom
Künstler Andrea Bertanza, Schüler von Palma il Giovane, bewundern. Palma il Giovane ist auch Autor des
Altarbildes von S.Caterina, das sich rechts im ersten Altar der Pfarrkirche befindet

Park at the car park of Piazzale Roma ( Maderno ) along
the main road SS45 bis, cross the road and go up the
staircase facing the lake. You climb a panoramic path as
far as Montemaderno; when you reach the church of the
SS. Faustino and Giovita (1) in Maclino, turn left into Via
Belvedere and keep to the right passing under a typical
archway in the historical centre of Maclino. Turn left at
the fork and walk through olive groves down Via Rocchetta
(path 24) which leads to the valley of the Bornico. You can
admire open fields with enchanting views over the lake.
When you reach the Bornico stream follow it along its right
bank into the valley and, going past a typical local oil mill,
you get to Via Bornico. keep to the left until you reach the
main road SS45 bis and walk along its edge on the lakeside
gangway back to Piazzale Roma.

Inside the church you can admire 2 fine paintings by the local
painter Andrea Bertanza,a student painter of Palma il Giovane,
the author of the altarpiece of S.Catherine, which is to be seen
on the first altar on the right in the parish church of Maderno.
