Grazie all’impiego di nuclei in lamierini a cristalli orientati (G.O. M3), un tempo destinati
esclusivamente a macchine di grande potenza, si è sviluppata una gamma di trasformatori modulari caratterizzati da:
- Ingombro ridotto (il vertice si ottiene nell’esecuzioni di potenza 8 e 120 VA);
- Basse perdite;
- Contenute temperature di esercizio.
Questi trasformatori hanno applicazioni in servizio:
- Intermittente, denominati prosaicamente trasformatori per campanelli;
- Continuo, nelle sempre più frequenti applicazioni in bassissima tensione di
sicurezza (SELV o BTS).
I trasformatori per servizio intermittente sono caratterizzati da:
- Potenze fino a 40 VA;
- Tensioni di 12V o 24V c.a.
- Conformità alla norma CEI EN 61 558-2-8 le cui applicazione tipiche sono
l’alimentazione di campanelli, ronzatori di bagni e docce, impianti citofonici, apertura
di porte condominiali, relè passo-passo.
A completamento sono disponibili, in un solo modulo, suoneria e/o ronzatore in bassissima tensione di sicurezza o a tensione di rete (vedi oltre).
Sempre grazie ai lamierini GO M3 ed una particolare costruzione del nucleo a 2 colonne
, si è ottenuto il più piccolo trasformatore presente sul mercato, 8 VA servizio intermittente e 4 VA servizio continuativo.
E’ noto che il tasso di ristrutturazioni in Italia è modesto e che non sempre i centralini
d’appartamento esistenti sono grandi abbastanza per alloggiare dispositivi ausiliari
quali torce d’emergenza, relè di massimo consumo o di priorità, scaricatori di tensione
ed altri utili accessori che l’innovazione tecnologica è un grado di proporre. Per questa
ragione è particolarmente apprezzata la compattazione degli ingombri che rendono
possibile l’installazione di nuove funzioni senza interventi murari per sostituire il centralino.
I trasformatori per servizio continuo, si contraddistinguono per:
- Potenze fino a 60 VA (120 VA in servizio intermittente);
- Tensioni da 12 V a 24 V;
- Conformità alla norma CEI EN 61 558-2-2;
Sono previsti per l’alimentazione di circuiti di sicurezza a corrente alternata in bassissima tensione (in alcuni casi costituiti da relè di comando e da contattori).
Tutte le esecuzioni sono protette dal cortocircuito e dal sovraccarico per mezzo di
una resistenza PTC (interruttore termico) che provvede ad interrompere il circuito del
primario del trasformatore in caso di eccessivo riscaldamento.
Esecuzioni EMM10... ed EMM15... protette con termofusibile. Il ripristino avviene automaticamente dopo circa 30 minuti di assenza di tensione, in concomitanza con il
raffreddamento del trasformatore.
Inoltre, i doppi secondari permettono di realizzare dei collegamenti in serie e parallelo,
in funzione dei valori di tensione e corrente che s’intendono avere in uscita.

Thanks to the use of crystal orientated core plates (G.O. M3) , destined only for machines with great power, a range of transformers characterised as follows have been
developed:
- Reduced overall size (the summit is obtained in versions with a power of 8 and
120 VA);
- Low losses;
- Contained service temperatures.
These transformers provide the following applications:
- Intermitting, called in a prosaic manner, transformers for bells;
- Continuous, more frequent in low voltage safety applications (SELV or BTS).
The intermitting transformers are characterised by:
- Power up to 40 VA;
- Voltage of 12V or 24V each
- In compliance with CEI EN 61 558-2-8 standards, typical applications are supplying
power to bells, bath and shower buzzers, intercom systems, ondominial door
opening, step relay.
Low safety voltage or power of acoustic signals and/or buzzers are available in one
module only (see below).
Thanks to the GO M3 core plates and a particular construction of the 2 columns, the
smallest transformer, with 8 VA for intermitting service and 4 VA for continuous service
is available on the market.
The restructuring rate in Italy is quite high and existing central control units in
apartments are not suitable for the mounting auxiliary devices such as emergency
lights, maximum consumption or priority relays, voltage dischargers and other accessories the innovative technology is capable of providing. For this reason, the reduced
overall size that allows the installation of new functions without masonry interventions
for replacing old central control units is appreciated.
Transformers for continuous service are characterised as follows:
- Power up to 60 VA (120 VA in intermitting service);
- Voltage from 12 V to 24 V;
- In compliance with CEI EN 61 558-2-2 standards;
They are envisioned for powering safety circuits with alternate low voltage current (in
some cases they consist of control and contacts relays).
All versions are protected from short circuit and overload by means of a PTC resistance
(thermal protection) that interrupts the primary side circuit of the transformer in case
of excessive heating. EMM10... and EMM15... versions protected with thermal fuse.
Reset is automatic after 30 minutes of black out, coinciding with the cooling of the
transformer.
Furthermore, the double secondary sides allow connection in series and in parallel, in
function with the voltage and current values required in output.
