All the sacred objects are now dedicated but we still have vestments for dedication. Please contact the office for details. Also, I want to thank everyone who supported the Annual Headmaster’s Ball. It was a really nice evening and I was especially pleased to be able to recognize Linda and Mario Reali for the steadfast dedication to our parish and to our Catholic faith. We are looking forward to next year’s ball on Saturday, January 31, 2015. The theme has not yet been determined, but this year’s Venetian masquerade ball added a great deal of good cheer and humor to this elegant affair. I would like to add that I was very happy to work with Mr Ata Kashanian, the Managing Director of the Glen Cove Mansion, who afforded us every courtesy. I can strongly recommend the Glen Cove Mansion for your family celebrations, and I look forward to working with this wonderful local business in the years to come. Also, I am planning to start a monthly catechesis in the Catholic faith in Italian. It will be an adventure for all of us! I will place a list for the church so that you can vote for the day of the week and time that suits you best. If I have enough interest, I would consider meeting once during an evening and once during the day each month. I believe this will be a very positive experience for everyone. It will allow me the opportunity to work on my Italian and allow you to learn more about our faith and give you a chance to find answers to your questions. The rest of the month of February is relatively quite and calm, but this is merely the calm before the storm of activity that will take place in March. As Lent arrives on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, we have a number of events coming up including the Journey to the Cross on Friday, March 7th and the celebration of Confirmation on March 24th with Bishop Robert Brennan. I am also working on a parish mission. We will also have a new bilingual booklet for the Way of the Cross. Also, we will have two open houses at All Saints, both on Mondays, on March 3rd and March 24th respectively, at 7 pm to 9 pm. Dio Vi Benedica, Padre Elias CHURCH OF ST. Living Stewardship Adoration Chapel Schedule We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who choose to use their resources to reach out to others and build God’s kingdom of love, justice and peace. February 9, 2014 Monday - 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Tuesday - 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Wednesday - 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Thursday - 6:00 PM to Friday 12:00 PM (noon) Friday REOPENS from 9:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday As you can see we have an extensive 6 day schedule at St. Patrick’s with 106 Adorers. We are in need of your help to keep the current schedule in place. Without your help this schedule will get much smaller. We are asking you to dedicate 60 minutes a week to keep a vigil with Jesus who is present in the Blessed Sacrament. Our Catholic Faith teaches us that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Our Adorers know Jesus is there and tell of the many blessings they have received by spending an hour with Him. Being with Jesus for an hour a week brings many graces to you, your family, our parish and our community. Do you believe Jesus is really there ? Do you need Jesus’ help with your family, a job, good health, etc.? Bring it to the Lord in prayer and see if you can help us and help yourself in your spiritual journey. Our Adorers are getting older and some are doing more than 1 hour per week. We need new Adorers, especially young adults, to keep it going. Your lives will be enriched by this wonderful devotion.
