Introduzione
Il nome kyklos, curioso ma che subito richiama l’interesse di noi ciclisti, deriva da un vocabolo del greco antico e indica due ruote che si muovono assieme, un binomio che crea un unicum.
Sei semplici lettere che racchiudono in se l’idea che questa nuova azienda vuole esprimere.
e le resine di nuova generazione più adatte all’uso per la costruzione di telai racing, unendolo alla più avanzata tecnologia applicata per la realizzazione delle tubazioni e alle migliori forme e
geometrie.
Introduction
The name Kyklos, curious but immediately draws the interest of us cyclists, a term derived from the ancient greek and means two wheels that move together, a combination that creates a

Da questa tecnologia sono emersi i telai: Featherweight, Feather, Rocket, Stone e Flexx.
In particolare, il Telaio Featherweight, per la sua particolare leggerezza e reattività unita a
facilità e precisione di guida, consente di godere appieno di ogni colpo di pedale. Realizzato
in fibra di carbonio HM T1000 e HM T800 utilizzando l’hybrid concept, ossia l’unione di tre
diverse tecniche di assemblaggio (monoscocca, incollaggio a giunzione più fasciatura e tube
to tube process).
Il tube to tube process permette di assemblare le parti garantendo continuità e uniformità delle
fibre facendo risparmiare peso e mantenendo le dovute caratteristiche di resistenza; il triangolo
anteriore e la zona della scatola movimento centrale realizzati monoscocca danno solidità e
resistenza alla flessione nei punti più stressati, nevralgici del telaio. L’incollaggio a giunzione
e fasciatura dà la dovuta resistenza mantenendo un look pulito del telaio. Il Featherweight
è prodotto in sei diverse taglie e tre differenti colorazioni: due verniciate, una bianca e una
nera, più una versione Limited in finitura matt (opaca) quindi con le fibre a vista, a cui viene
applicato un particolare processo industriale di pulitura interna dei tubi che ne alleggerisce
ulteriormente l’intera struttura senza precludere la robustezza, performance e durabilità. Tutti i
telai Kyklos usano le stesse tecniche di assemblaggio e lavorazione, l’aggiunta del HM T1000
in percentuale e posizione diversa per ogni tipo di telaio determina comfort e reattività ed è
applicato in accordo all’uso finale di ogni singolo modello strada o mountain bike.

Featherweight frame for its special lightness and responsiveness, combined with ease and
precise control, lets you enjoy and “feel” each pedal stroke. Made of hm carbon fiber t1000
and t800 using the hybrid concept, namely the union of three different assembly techniques:
monocoque/tapered lug junction/tube to tube process.
The tube to tube assembly process allows to provide composite fiber continuity and
remarcable frame weight saving, while maintaining the necessary strength characteristics;
the front triangle and the area of the bottom bracket +c/s (chain stay) monocoque made;
makes outstanding strength + stiffness at the main stressed and strength needed, frame area.
The bonding at joints and wrap gives the required resistance while maintaining a clean look
frame. The featherweight is produced in six different sizes and three different colors: two
coatings, one white and one black and one limited edition with special matt finishing who
allowadditional weight saving and where the real carbon fiber finishing (ud) is shown. The
limited edition has also a special internal tube cleansing process who allow further weight
reduction while does not affect the frame characteristics. This special cleansing process
remove all resin and carbon fiber remaining from carbon tubes manufacturing processes and
it is handmade by special tools.
All the kyklos frames use the same assembly techniques and processing, the addition of
the hm t1000, as a percentage and in different layout orientation for each type of frame;
determines comfort and responsiveness and is applied according to end use of each single
model of road bike and mtb.

La Featherweight Limited, punto di forza della
gamma Kyklos corsa, presenta accorgimenti che
rendono il telaio più leggero. Su questa versione è
stata adottata una verniciatura opaca, inoltre il telaio
ha un processo addizionale di pulizia interno prima
dell’incollaggio dei componenti.
The featherweight limited, top of the kyklos racing
frameset, has features which make the frame lighter.
This version has a special matt finishing coating
who helps in weight saving, the frame also has an
additional internal tube cleanishing process, prior to
the carbon tubes frame assembling.

La Feather ha un diverso tipo di seat stay, steli alti
del carro posteriore più mirati al comfort, resine con
caratteristiche meccaniche diverse e presenta un
minore uso di carbonio T1000. Il tutto si racchiude
in costi più contenuti e un comfort maggiore senza
andare a discapito della robustezza. Anche questo
telaio viene proposto in due diverse colorazioni, uno
nero con grafiche accattivanti e l’altro in versione
bianco con grafiche più pulite ed eleganti.
The feather has a different type of s/s (seat stay),
more focused on comfort riding, different resins with
different mechanical characteristics and has less
additional hm t1000, increased confort riding and
reduced manufacturing cost, as final result. Also, this

Da sempre la realizzazione di telai full suspension Marathon/XC
richiedono studi ed ingegneristica particolari, nonché tempi di sviluppo
molto lunghi, ben più impegnativi e dispendiosi delle Hardtail front. Kyklos
completa la sua gamma di telai Road e MTB con il gioiello Flexx, frutto
di collaborazione diretta e test specifici fatti con atleti professionisti e
macchinari speciali.
Data la richiesta sempre più insistente da parte dei Bikers di una
biamortizzata per uso XC, Kyklos ha creato FLEXX.
Telaio che presenta come carro posteriore un 4 bar lincage, super
collaudato e adatto a uso marathon, con spiccate doti di leggerezza,
linearità durante il lavoro di ammortizzazione del movimento centrale,
e di reattività. Tutto questo unito a geometrie Racing XC e all’uso
dell’ammortizzatore pro-Pedal (che elimina quasi totalmente il bobbing).
Tutto questo permette alla bici di diventare in un lampo eccellente anche
per l’uso XC. Abbinato a questo concetto di marathon/XC la FLEXX abbina
nuove tecniche come il Press Fitt BB 92. Lo sterzo conico 1”1/2 1”1/8; cavi
esterni; hybrid concept esattamente come la STONE.

I telai kyklos sono garantiti da KYK Srl, la garanzia ha durata di sei anni dalla data di registrazione del prodotto
sul sito www.kyklosbike.it.
Nel corso di questo periodo la KYK Srl è tenuta a riparare o sostituire parti difettose.
La garanzia, o la sostituzione dei materiali, non copre difetti dovuti ad incuria, cattiva manutenzione, normale
usura, modifiche o sinistri.
La sostituzione gratuita, sarà effettuata ad insindacabile giudizio tecnico della KYK Srl.
Nell’eventuale controversia giudiziaria il foro competente sarà quello di Pescara.
Per ottenere la garanzia il compratore dovrà rispettare i seguenti punti:
• registrazione on line sul sito www.kyklosbike.it
• inserimento del numero del talloncino metallico sull’aposito censimento conservandolo per tutta la durata
della garanzia.
• solo la presentazione del talloncino metallico insieme con il reso difettoso, dà diritto alla sostituzione del
prodotto.
• nell’eventuale vendita privata del prodotto Kyklos, il talloncino dovrà sempre accompagnare il telaio, con
aggiornamento on line del nuovo proprietario.
The frames are secured by KYK Kyklos Srl, the warranty period of six years from the date of product registration
site www.kyklosbike.it.
During this period, the KYK Ltd is required to repair or replace defective parts.

EN TEST:
Il test EN è un test standard richiesto per tutti i telai da competizione.
Questo test misura sia la robustezza del telaio che la durata dello stesso agli stress di sollecitazione.
I tipi di stress che un telaio subisce sono:
• la flessione del cannotto centrale dove alloggia il sistema movimento durante la pedalata.
• la torsione e la compressione della serie sterzo durante una frenata.
• le sollecitazioni sul carro posteriore destro dove avviene la trasmissione.
L’EN test riproduce sollecitazioni statiche e dinamiche sul telaio. Esso viene riproposto sulla sola forcella
(portando in trazione gli steli della stessa con una forte pressione ripetuta simulando una brusca frenata ad alta
velocità) per testare la durata allo sforzo.
L’EN test è di 9 tipologie:
1. BB: calcolo della rigidità del movimento centrale (quanto flette sotto una determinata pressione);
2. HT impact test: test di impatto del tubo sterzo del telaio.
3. HT compress: compressione del tubo sterzo del telaio.
4. ST compressione tubo piantone telaio.
5. HT fatigue: resistenza alla fatica del tubo sterzo del telaio.
6. FT fatigue: resistenza alla fatica tubo piantone-telaio.
7. BB torsion: torsione movimento centrale.
8. Completed frame fatigue: test di resistenza alla fatica del telaio completo.
9. HT Stiffness: torsione gruppo sterzo.
Il telaio Kyklos ha superato brillantemente tutti i test e non solo! Infatti i parametri di questi esami sono stati
esasperati del 30% in più rispetto allo standard richiesto dall’EN test.
I telai Kyklos sono rafforzati in entrambi i lati equamente sul carro posteriore per avere stabilità e rigidezza
unica.

The frame Kyklos passed all tests and more! In fact, the parameters of these tests were exaggerated by 30%

Kyklos frames are reinforced on both sides evenly on the rear for stability and rigidity only.
