REQUIREMENTS MSc degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Computer Science or Software Engineering, and preferably computational skills. Background in physics is not required. However, candidate should be willing to learn basic domain knowledge. Good programming skills and clarity in documentation of codes. Excellent communication and quantitative analysis skills are required. Good oral and written skills in English. JOB DESCRIPTION The Lab of Nuclear Technologies applied to environment is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student with strong attitude in problem solving and team work in different locations. The PhD fellow will focus on understanding and extending the Java libraries used for analysis of airborne data. PhD duties will be key part of a broader project including the development of a unified lab-code for complex analysis of multiparameter nuclear and geophysics data. The PhD program in physics includes training in specialized and multidisciplinary subjects (nuclear physics, geophysics and homeland security), and, where appropriate, industrial placements.
