Navigazione Lago d’Iseo is ready for the Feast of Santa Croce (Holy Cross).
Summer of 2015: more synergy between lake and territory.
The new autumn timetable is in force from September 7th to 27 th.
Costa Volpino (BG- Italy), September 9th, 2015 – A summer full of events for Navigazione Lago d’Iseo has
just been closed: events in synergy with the territory, or under the “Tours in the Blue” program, and also
the new tour named “Boat of Art”. And in September the Thousand Flavors Nightly Cruises come back,
with their appreciated dinners with typical products of the territory and Franciacorta wines. The program
includes: “Bergamo in Tavola (dinner with tasting of local food products and wines of Bergamo presented by
sommeliers) on Saturday September 12th, and “Sapori di Lago” (typical dinner with lake fish) on Saturday
September 26th, with departures from Lovere, Sarnico and Iseo. The reservation is always required for
the cruises. But the not-to-be-missed summer event of 2015, which is repeated every 5 years since the last
150 years, will be the Feast of Santa Croce (Holy Cross) at Monte Isola, taking place form September 14th
to 20th in the village of Carzano. For this event Navigazione Lago d’Iseo will schedule special trips from
Carzano, Castro, Iseo, Lovere, Pisogne, Predore, Riva di Solto, Sarnico, Sulzano and Tavernola.

It all started with the launch of “The Floating Piers”, the floating bridge between Monte Isola and Sulzano
that the artist Christo will create in the month of June 2016, a project that creates, as of now, a new and
closer relationship between water and mainland. As a result of that, the summer 2015 was characterized by
a number of initiatives carried out in synergy between the Company Navigazione Lago d’Iseo (which, with its
boats provides the connections between all locations overlooking Lake Iseo and Monte Isola) and the
surrounding territory. At the end of May 2015 the touristic info-point of Navigazione Lago d’Iseo was literally
stormed during the Lakes Festival organized by the City of Iseo. A few days before, at the beginning of May,
in a press-conference held on the ship “Città di Brescia” was presented the partnership between Navigazione
Lago d’Iseo and Terme di Boario (Boario Baths), a collaboration that culminated, after a series of events, on
Sunday September 6th with the charity event “Parco dei Balocchi” (Toys Park) that saw a great participation
of families and children and where Navigazione Lago d'Iseo helped with putting up for grabs free tickets for
children up to 14 years, and with the free distribution of hats sponsored NLI. Also last weekend took place
the event “Vertigini di Bellezza” (Dizzying Beauty), organized by Navigazione Lago d'Iseo in occasion of the
event Lovere Arts & Food held from August 29th to September 6th, where NLI participated with an info-point,
in collaboration with the Tourist Office of the town of Lovere, and organizing 4 crowded free mini-tours with
breathtaking views of the lake from the lake with a dedicated route including Lovere - Castro - Riva di Solto
and the dizzying cliff called “Orrido del Bögn”.

”Driven by the favorable results of the tourist season in 2014, which rewarded both the Lake and our
Region, we wanted to strengthen the synergy between Lake Iseo and its territory, a bridge between water
and land, with a variety of initiatives whose success encourages us to continue in this direction”.
Navigazione Lago d’Iseo boasts a fleet of 14 ships of different sizes with a minimum capacity of 70 to a maximum of
400 people. The two biggest ships have a bar, restaurant and music entertainment system.
The company employs 35 people, onboard and on land - 45 in the summer months.
From 2014 the President is Mr. Emilio Agostini, who held several roles at the local administrative level and was, among
other things, vice president of the Authority of the basin and Assessor to the municipality of Iseo.
