ANNOUNCEMENTS
MONTHLY SENIORS MASS on Thursday, January 28th beginning
with Mass at 1:30pm followed by games in the Parish Hall. All seniors
and friends are invited to attend.
THE FEAST OF THE PRESENTATION OF OUR LORD is on
February 2nd. The Liturgy invites us to go meet Christ in the house of
God, where we will find Him in the celebration of the Eucharist. There
will be the traditional BLESSING OF THE CANDLES.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR CONSECRATED LIFE
In closing the Jubilee Year for Consecrated Life,
there will be a special Mass next Sunday,
January 31st at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s
Basilica, Toronto in celebration of the vocation
and witness of these special men and women
religious who are such a vital and important part
of the life and ministry of the Church in our
Archdiocese.
All are welcome to attend.
FEAST OF ST. BLAISE – Tuesday, February 3rd
The blessing of the throats will take place only during the 8:00am and
7:00pm Masses. We will be invoking the intercession of St. Blaise to
protect us from any harm or illness of the throat.
EXTRA-ORDINARY MINISTERS OF COMMUNION
We will soon be training new ministers for the distribution of
communion during our Sunday Masses. If you would like to be part of
this special ministry, please call the office (905-889-9021).
Candidates should be parishioners of St. Paschal’s, practicing Catholic,
already confirmed and, if married, it must be in the Catholic Church.
CHARISMATIC ENGLISH PRAYER GROUP
Every 1st Monday of the month there is a formation
program on the Jubilee Year of Mercy, in the Parish
Hall. It begins after the 7:00pm Mass. On February
1st the topic is “The Importance of the Jubilee Year
of Mercy" and the speaker will be Fr. Edward Curtis
assistant to Cardinal Thomas Collins. Fr. Ed Curtis
will also be the celebrant of the 7:00pm Mass.
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL MEETING on Tuesday, February
2nd at 8:00pm in the Rectory Hall. All members please be present.

FESTA DELLA CANDELORA – Lunedì 2 Febbraio
Questa festa particolare ci invita ad entrare nella casa di Dio per
incontrare il Signore, specialmente nella celebrazione
dell’Eucarestia. Durante le messe ci sarà la tradizionale benedizione
delle candele.
GIORNATA MONDIALE DELLA VITA CONSACRATA
La Chiesa dedica IL 2 Febbraio alla Preghiera per la Vita Consacrata.
Alla fine dell’anno dedicato alla Vita Consacrata, Domenica 31
Gennaio alle 3:00pm, nella Basilica di S. Paolo a Toronto, verrà
celebrata una messa solenne in ringraziamento per tutti gli uomini e
le donne consacrate che vivono ed operano nell’Arcidiocesi di
Toronto.
FESTA DI SAN BIAGIO – Martedì 3 Febbraio
La benedizione della gola sarà fatta durante le Messe
delle 8:00am e delle 7:00pm, per invocare
l’intercessione di S. Biagio per proteggerci contro il
mal di gola.
NUOVI MINISTRI DELLA COMUNIONE
La parrocchia sta organizzando un corso per i nuovi ministri per la
distribuzione della S. Comunione nelle messe domenicali. Se siete
interessati a prendere parte a questo servizio, chiamate l’ufficio
parrocchiale.
I candidati a questo ministero devono essere parrocchiani, cattolici
praticanti, già cresimati e sposati in Chiesa.
INCONTRI SUL GIUBILEO
Ogni primo Lunedì del mese, il Gruppo carismatico sponsorizza un
incontro di formazione sul Giubileo della Misericordia. Il primo
Febbraio, P. Ed Curtis, assistente del cardinale Collins, celebrerà la
Messa alle 7:00pm e nel salone parrocchiale parlerà poi
dell’Importanza del Giubileo dell’Anno della Misericordia.
L’incontro sarà in lingua inglese.
