To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the best-selling BANG!, dV Giochi invites you to design a new character card!
Let your imagination run wild: the most original ideas and the most appealing pictures will be awarded by the publisher.
Period: from September 1st to October 15th.
How to Participate: each participant should send via e-mail or by post a description and drawing of a character (including the character’s name, ability, and number of life points).
The description can be included in the picture or it can be sent separately.
Prizes:
‘‘ Best Character - Grand Prize: all the BANG! games currently in the dV Giochi catalog (BANG!, Dodge City, Gold Rush, A Fistful of Cards, The Bullet!, 10th Anniversary), autographed by the author Emiliano Sciarra.
‘‘ Best Artwork and Best Ability - Prize: a copy of BANG! 10th Anniversary autographed by the author Emiliano Sciarra.
dV Giochi will show a selection of the best character card submissions at the Lucca Comics & Games festival.
The winner of the contest will be announced after November 5, in the “Events and News” section of the publisher’s website: www.dvgiochi.com.
Jury: dV Giochi—the publisher of the game—and Emiliano Sciarra—the author of BANG!—will serve as the jury for this contest. The decision of the jury is final and cannot be appealed.
Requirements:
»» Each participant can submit no more than 3 characters.
»» Character pictures can be sent in jpg, pdf, png, or tiff format. The size of the e-mail message cannot be more than 5 Mb.
»» Participants must be over eighteen years of age.
»» The character has to be drawn in the BANG! style and cannot be a real person (living or dead). All artwork must be original: use of pre-existing images is not allowed.
»» The use of the dV Giochi logo is not allowed.

Choose an evocative name for your character, but avoid names of real persons (living or dead) or names already used for famous fictional characters.
Good character abilities should be easily described in no more than three lines of card-sized text.
Use simple, easy-to-understand language for your character ability.
Be original, but don’t create an ability that will distort the game mechanics and rules.
Pay attention to how your character interacts with the other cards in the game! The character should be compatible with all expansions.
When possible, avoid exceptions. If your character ability needs more details, include this information as separate text
(similar to the character descriptions in the rulebook.

‘‘ Consider all the possible consequences of your card in game play and, above all, test it with your friends!
