The 7penna cartridge (7mmx23)
The new 7penna cartridge is based on a slightly conical case measuring 23 mm in lenght and 8 mm wide, holding a small pistol primer.
The OAL of the cartridge is 32,4 mm. The 7penna comes with a 4,5
gram round nose brass plated lead bullet and a 3,2 gram leadless
bullet. Also available (but only to law enforcement) is a 3 gram
monolithic brass bullet. In manometric barrel the average speed of
the 4,5 gram load is 405 meter/sec, the average speed of the 3,2
gram load is 480 meter/sec, while the average speed of the 3 gram
load is 530 meter/sec with a muzzle energy of 43 Kilograms (comparable to a .30 Super Auto standard load). The pressure is measured in
2500 bar. The case brass is 0,35 mm thick to ensure maximun safety.
The 7penna is CIP approved.
