Moses 4 Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for your,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Greetings, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. May this New Year bring tonnes of prosperity, joy, peace and good health to all of you!! I had a faith-filled Christian colleague who later turned to be a close friend. My friend and I worked together in a multi - national company for many years and the years we worked together were a golden period. We meet in the entrance, go together, pray and start our work. During coffee and small breaks, we used to share our Christian experiences, challenges, ambitions and our future plans. She had a deep desire to become an Evangelist and used to repeatedly say “ I am waiting for God’s call” Our branch office was reporting to the Asia Pacific region. Our Head Quarters in Singapore decided to shrink the staff strength in Indian region. The situation was little panicky as the reduction of staff were done in all cadres. Finally the list of staff members were announced. My faith - filled Christian friend’s name was the first name. It was unpleasant for both of us. We decided to keep our job - request in prayer with tears. My friend’s spiritual energy was very strong and she narrated a beautiful story even in difficult times of her career. 5 There were many trees on the hill - side. Three trees were discussing their hopes and dreams. The first tree said “I hope to be a treasure chest one day, I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty.” The second tree said “Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the water and sail to the corners of the world.” Finally the third tree said “I want to grow to be the tallest tree in the forest. People will see me on the top of the hill and see my branches. I will be close to the heavens and God. I will be the tallest tree of all time and people will always remember me.” After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came and started to cut the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, “This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter” and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knows that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest. Then the woodsmen came to the second tree and said, “This looks like a strong tree too, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard” The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to become a mighty ship. When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the woodsmen 6 said, “I don’t need anything special from this tree, so I’II take this one, and he cut it down.” -The first tree taken by the woodsman was made into a feed box for animals. The feed boxes were filled with hay. This was not what the wood wanted to be or prayed for. -The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. The dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings came to an end. - The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. Years passed and future plans and dreams were forgotten. Let’s see what happened!! Then one day, a man and a woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The first tree could now feel the importance of this event and know that it had held the greatest treasure of all time. Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said “peace” and the storm stopped. Now, the second tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat. Finally, the third tree was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. The man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. The dream of the third tree to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God was possible, because Jesus was crucified 7 on it. This story was just an imagination of how God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will do and give His best. My friend conculded and said God has a plan for me and left. She did small consultancies, took dealership for few years. On a sunny day, during her early morning prayer - time, she got God’s call and clear vision to start God’s ministry for children. She started in a small way but today, it has grown and God has used her in mighty ways to give the word of God in Television shows etc. Her plans and dreams became true, but not immediately, but at the right time. Do you have plans & dreams about your future, job, starting your own business, wayward child, future of your children, don’t push them aside. God has given unique talents and abilities to every individual. Trust in the Lord, and He ‘II fulfil them in His time. Wishes, for all your dreams come true, this year. - Joan Daniel 8 èM¬î„ «ê£¬ô ¹ˆî£‡´ 2012 ¹ˆî£‡®™ ¹°‰F´‹ -  ¹¶õ£›¾ ªðŸPì ïô‹ò£¾‹ 臮ì, ï™ô£C î‰F´‹ ï™ôõ˜ «ò²M¡ ð£î‹ ðE«õ£‹. ¹¶Š¹¶ ݬêèœ - ï‹ õ£›M¡ «ï£‚èƒèœ ò£¬õ»‹ b˜ˆFì A¼¬ðJ¡ «îõ¡ Þ¡ªù£¼ ݇¬ì - ï‹ õ£›M™ œ÷£«ó. ñó‹, ªê®, ªè£®èœ ñA›‰¶ Ý®´«î; ÅKò ê‰Fó ï†êˆFóƒèœ è˜ˆî˜ ªê£™ «è†®´«î; ðø‰F´‹ ðø¬õèœ ðóñ¬ùˆ ªî£¿F´«î; ݇ìõK¡ ê£òô£ù ñ£ ï¡PJ™ô£ñ™ «ð£èô£«ñ£? 嚪õ£¼ GI캋, ªï£®Šªð£¿¶‹, åŒM¡P ªêò™ð´‹ àœ àÁŠ¹èÀ‹, «îõQ¡ 輬íò£™ ÞòƒA´«î, ï¡Pò£™ ï‹ àœ÷‹ ¶F‚赫ñ; ¶FJ¡ ñˆFJ™ õ£ê‹ ªêŒ»‹ «îõùõ˜ ¶F‚è «îõ¬ùˆ ¶F‚è «îõQ¡ àœ÷‹ ñA›‰F´«ñ õ£¿‹ ï£†èœ Ã®´«ñ. 9 蘈î¬ó ï‹H´‹ üùƒè¬÷ è£ôªñ™ô£‹ èOÃó„ ªêŒF´õ£˜. 裊ð£ŸÁ‹ «îõùõ˜ 裼Eòˆî£™ Å›‰F´õ£˜. ݇´ º¿õ¶‹ ñ ݇ìõ˜ «ò² 裈Fì, ñèœ ò£¾‹ ߉Fì, ï™ôõ˜ ÝCèœ î‰Fì, ÞÁF õ¬óJ½‹ ÞìP죶 ªê¡Pì, Þ«ò²M¡ èóƒè¬÷Š ðŸP´«õ£«ñ! Have you failed repeatedly in your attempts to please God? Have you made a message of your life? Are you tired of pretending that you are victorious when you are not? Then this article is for you. Failure is not the favourite or openly spoken subject, but it is a subject which is mandatory for all of us, because failure often crosses our paths frequently. Luke Chapter 22 verse 31. Here we read of Jesus warning Peter of a danger that lay ahead of him. He told him Simon, Simon, Satah has asked to sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers W all know that Peter denied the Lord three times that night. In verse 34, we read that Jesus told Peter, I tell you Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me.” What I want to share with you this New Year is “God’s purpose in man’s failure”. This will encourage all of us who feel frustrated and discouraged because of our failure to have hope. Peter’s failure is one of the worst types. Though our Lord warned him, Peter’s denial was a deliberate one, a repetitious error too. To be point blank, it was sin. The questions that come to my mind are : Does God allow failure? Does he permit it? Is there a purpose in failure? Or is failure something that has no purpose at all in God’s perfect will and something that God cannot use to further His purpose. When we read Luke Chapter 22, we see that God did not prevent 12 Peter from denying Him. Why didn’t Jesus say “Simon I have prayed for you that you will not deny me even once” Whey did the Lord pray only that Peter’s faith may not fail, even if Peter himself fell? Isn’t it interesting that the Lord did not pray that Peter might not fall? Some of us would like the Lord to pray for us that we might never fall. We would like the Lord to say to us “My Son, My Daughter”, I have prayed for you that you will never fall and never fail. But interestingly enough, our Lord does’t pray such a prayer, for us. What did Jesus pray for Simon? That when Satan tempted him, HIS FAITH would not fail. He didn’t pray that Peter should not fall in temptation, but that when he did fall, his faith in God’s perfect love would not fail him - so that when Peter reached the bottom of the pit of failure he would confess, God still loves me. This is the faith and confession we must always have in our minds and hearts - no matter how low we may have sunk or fallen - that God still loves us, JUST as we are. The Christian’s failure is not purposed for any destruction, but every failure is for development. Bible says : “The Steps of a man are established by the Lord and He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; because the Lord is the one who holds his hand” (Psalm 37:23-24). “The Lord sustains all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:14). “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity” (Proverbs 24:16). A man who is corrected many times and refuses to accept correction will one day suddenly be without any chances. If a man keeps on refusing God’s loving invitations, he will be in danger. 13 Now I don’t want any of you to be over-sensitive or to feel condemned hearing that, because that verse was not written for those who love sin, but to warn those who love to sin who want to continue in it. It was not written for those who try to live in purity. It was written for rebels, who defy God and want to sin. How can you know if you are a rebel? That’s very easy to find out...... Just ask yourself if you have a desire to repent and to turn back to God? If there’s even the slightest desire within you to turn to God and to love Him, then that proves that the Holy Spirit is working in your life and that God is seeking to draw you to himself. You many be a failure, but you are not a rebel. There is a vast difference between one who is failing and one who is rebelling. It was with a purpose that God allowed Peter to fail. That purpose was to sift Peter. Satan wanted to destroy Peter, but God would not allow him to do that. God does not allow us to be tested beyond our ability. Satan wanted to test Peter. As a result of his failure, Peter was cleansed of his sin. That is the real purpose with which God allows us to fail too. Let me say that final word to you in Jesus Name - YOU CAN START FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE AT, RIGHT NOW, AND STILL FULFILL GOD’S PERFECT PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE. And if you fail tomorrow, go to God immediately in repentance and He will justify you again. May your FAITH not fail in the moment of testing. Lets pray for one another, as our Lord does for us.
