The 26th of April the World Intellectual Property Day, at
its 12th edition, celebrates the contribution that
intellectual property brings to innovation and cultural
creation around the world.
The theme of this year is focused on “visionary
innovators” and the role that Intellectual Property plays
in technological innovation on a global scale.
As such, the Directorate General for the Fight against
Counterfeiting – Italian Patent and Trademark Office of
the Ministry of Economic Development – will organize a
dedicated event to increase the awareness of industrial
property as a tool that improves the balancing
mechanism between the creators interests and the final
beneficiaries. Furthermore, the conference will
encourage innovation and creativity acknowledging to
the author any rights and allowing the whole community
to benefit of its inventions.
Patents, designs and trademarks are essential
components when referring to creativity, innovation,
while improving the national and international regulations
and contributing to economic growth.
In fact, the Italian specialised sections of Magistrates’ Courts
acting as role model, interrelate and enforce the
Industrial Property Regulations and encourage society
to be active part of the debate.
