because Gypsies are particularly sensitive
to the impact of an event, especially if it
regards the family environment.
Their relationship with history continues to
be fundamentally emotive. Indeed, their
points of reference in time and space are
not determined by geography or the
calendar, but rather by the emotional
intensity of a meeting, a job, an incident or
a celebration.
Their reactions are immediate and guided
by intuition rather than abstract thought.
This calls for great insight, initiative and
creativity when planning pastoral action.“

• Per impostare adeguatamente la pastorale
per gli Zingari, la dimensione antropologica
ha una grande rilevanza, anche perché essi
sono specialmente aperti all’impatto “sensitivo”
di un evento, soprattutto se riguarda l’ambiente
familiare.
• La loro relazione con la storia resta poi
sempre fondamentalmente “emotiva”. I loro
punti di riferimento nello spazio e nel tempo, in
effetti, non sono fissati dalla geografia o dalle
date del calendario, ma piuttosto dalla densità
affettiva di un incontro, di un lavoro, di un
incidente, di una festa.
•Le loro reazioni sono piuttosto immediate,
guidate da un criterio più intuitivo che da un
pensiero teorico,
•e tutto ciò rende indispensabile una grande
capacità di discernimento, di iniziativa e
creatività nel modo d’impostare l’azione
pastorale.
