Benedetta Mazzucato Mezzosoprano The 25 years old mezzo Benedetta Mazzucato was selected in 2013 to be one of the soloist of the Academy “Le Jardin des Voix” directed by William Christie with a worldwide tour afterwords (Bozar, New-York, Pleyel, Caen etc). She took part in the final of the Innsbruck internatio na l baroque opera competition and consequently she has been invited to take part to the young artist program of Los Angeles Opera run by Placido Domingo and Salzburg young singers project in summer 2013. In summer 2014, she has been selected to take part to the prestigious Aix en Provence festival's European academy for Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle residency. she will be Clearco in Gasparini's Bazajet in Barga Opera Festival with Carlo Ipata. She appears recently in Haendel festival in Versailles with Accademia Bizantina and Ottavio Dantone in Giulio Cesare (Nireno), role she will sing on stage during the season 2014-2015 in Toulon under the baton of Rinaldo Alessandrini. Next season, she will also make her debutes with Christina Pluhar and L'Arpeggiata for concerts and stage production of Monteverdi's Orfeo in Colombia. In spring 2013, She will make her debuts in Roma Opera to sing the Second Witch in Purcell’s Dido & Enea staged by Cristina Muti. She will sing Zulma in Rossini’s Italiana in Algeri in Vichy Opera (France) staged by Nicola Berloffa. She enters lyric world singing extremely young in the cat part in the little Opera Brundibar of Hans Kràsa, directed by K. Sprenger at Ariosto Theatre of Reggio Emilia, in Ponchielli Theatre in Cremona. She cooperates with many musical organizations. From 2006 she has sang as soloist and played as cellist in concerts with Dedalus Ensamble directed by M° Luciano Cavalli during Parma Lirica seasons. From December 2007 till year 2010 she participates as member of the chorus at several productions of Theatre Regio of Parma directed by M° Faggiani. In July 2009 she debuts in the role of Maddalena of Rigoletto for Opere RESTATE in Reggio Emilia. In January 2011 she sings in a Chinese tournée as soloist with the Associazione Abruzzese Amici della Musica orchestra, directed by M° Ovidio Balan and coordinated by M° Antonio Amenduni. In July 2011 she participated the Rossini’s Academy of Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, directed by M° Alberto Zedda and she earned degrees in voice as an Alto, with high grade at the Reggio Emilia's conservatoire.
