The focus of the Workshop is on distributed computing issues in large scale networked sensor
systems (including algorithms and applications, systems design techniques and tools, in-network
signals and information processing). Aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers from
different communities (such as Computer Vision, networked embedded sensing, artificial
intelligence and so on) all addressing the problem of interpretation of the information coming
from multiple distributed sensing systems. The presence of this workshop at AVSS is expected to
attract researchers to a multiple distributed sensing domain that will play a central role in future
technology (ambient intelligence, surveillance for security, sportive application, social intelligence,
etc.). We would like to invite original research papers describing significant results by using
multiple distributed sensing for monitoring and surveillance purposes.

Detailed style and formatting instructions can
be found in the templates. The blue numbering
of text lines (the so-called ruler) must not be
removed in the version for review, as it
greatly facilitates the review process, but must
be removed in the final version. Papers must
be written in English and submitted in PDF
format, each submission must be between 4
and 6 A4 pages long.
Each submission will be double-blindly peerreviewed by at least two experts. This
requires the paper to be anonymous, please
read the instructions included in the paper
templates.
