Giving young people from different social backgrounds and countries the possibilty to meet and engage together like Youth in Action projects. Providing young people from different social groups and backgrounds with knowledge and a space to desbate discrimination, prejudices, stereotypes, culture, diversity and inequality through workshops and conferences. Our projects Inimi pentru Inimi – Heart to Heart Non-formal education Club The club is located in the rural village of Cosmesti about 10 km from Pascani. The area does not provide many possibilities for the people living there and many children grow up in difficult situations. The club is located in the Cosmesti school and around 30 children from 5-14 years mostly Roma but also NonRoma families come to the club every Monday, Wednesday and Friday after their regular school schedule finishes. Roma and Non- Roma volunteers assist the children with their homework and help them to improve their skills like reading, writing, and mathematics but also games to boost the children’s soft skills like e.g. self- esteem. The goal is to empower the young generation of Cosmesti- show them different paths for their future and to give them the possibility to develop their potentials. The volunteers are role- models for them and give them the support they often don’t get at home and furthermore, the volunteers, also from various social backgrounds improve their social skills.
