Cooperation between Italy and Yemen
on Women's Rights in Yemen's Constitution
There can be no real change and development in the world without a fundamental change in women’s condition.
Rather than establishing only a general principle of equality, the constitutions of Arab countries – just like the
constitutions of any other countries – must address gender equality specifically, and in such a way so as to guarantee
that it is translated into concrete rights and implemented through laws and regulations.
