Bentgel
General Features
Bentgel is a sodium-activated bentonite obtained from a raw material pure and particularly selected and undergoes further
activation process, which enhances the natural performance, significantly increases the power and dispersant colloidal
properties, increasing their efficiency in clarification.
Bentgel appears to be characterized by:
Very high proteic adsorb action;
-Very low dosages (and related very low volumes of deposits);
-Easy-dispersion;
-Low in aggregate;
-Lack of release of foreign odors and flavors to the wines.
Application and Instructions for use
Bentgel goes dispersed in cold water or at room temperature in a ratio of 1:10, with vigorous stirring, to obtain
a homogeneous suspension. Allow to stand and swell the solution (gel) for a few hours (a minimum of 6 to 12
hours approximately). Stir again and add the volume to be treated.
Composition
Montmorillonite clay (bentonite): 90%
Compounds derived from silica: 0 - 10%
Doses of Use
10 - 40 g / hl Preliminary laboratory tests are recommended, checking the deproteinizing (bentotest), and the loss of
color (DO420 and DO520).
Proceed anchead an organoleptic test.
