MESSAGGIO DELL’AMERICAN COLLEGE OF SPORTS MEDICINE ALLA FMSI E AL
PRESIDENTE CASASCO IN RELAZIONE ALLA TRAGEDIA CHE HA COLPITO
L’ABRUZZO
Dear Maurizio,
On behalf of all those associated with ACSM (and especially our Executive Committee),
I want again to share our thoughts and prayers for those directly and
indirectly touched by the recent earthquake. Beyond the many lost and injured in
L'Aquila and surrounding towns, we grieve as well for the thousands left homeless and
who are still experiencing fear and aftermath. While we are so very excited about
the many things we will do in our great collaboration with you with Exercise Is
Medicine and PADS and other initiatives, we also wanted to express our sympathy and
empathy with these recent national challenges.
Our best thoughts to you and to all of Italy.

Caro Maurizio,
a nome di tutti gli associati dell’American College of Sports Medicine (e in modo
particolare del nostro Comitato Esecutivo) vorrei di nuovo esprimere i nostri pensieri e
mandare le nostre preghiere a coloro che direttamente ed indirettamente sono stati
colpiti dal recente terremoto. Noi siamo addolorati per i molti morti e feriti a L’Aquila e
nei paesi vicini ed anche per le migliaia di persone rimaste senza casa che soffrono
ancora per la paura e per le conseguenze del terremoto. Allo stesso tempo, però,
siamo entusiasti per tutte le grandi cose che faremo insieme nella nostra
collaborazione per Exercise is Medicine, PADS e altre iniziative. Vogliamo altresì
esprimere le nostre condoglianze e la nostra solidarietà in relazione a queste recenti
sfide.
I nostri migliori pensieri sono con voi e con tutta l'Italia.
