WINTER FESTIVALS
Italians celebrate the following winter
celebrations:
Christmas (the 25th of December)
New Year’s Eve (the 31st of January)
Befana - a good witch (the 6th of January)
Carnival - (40 days before Easter - in
February or March)
For all of them we have typical food,
beverages and traditions!
At Christmas we eat two typical
Italian cakes: pandoro and
panettone!
A Natale si mangiano due tipici
dolci italiani: il pandoro ed il
panettone!
Pandoro symbolizes Christmas like few other
cakes: it even looks Christmassy, a craggy
mountain topped with snow-white confectioners
sugar.
Il pandoro
simbolizza il Natale
come pochi altri
dolci: anche la sua
forma è natalizia,
un’alta montagna
coperta da
dolcissima neve di
zucchero.
