The Province of Rimini in Europe
Since 2000, the territory has managed about 30 European projects part of the
Life, e-TEN, Equal, Cultura 2000, Interreg, Central Europe, South East Europe, IVC,
Longlife Learning-Leonardo and Youth In Action programmes,
has drawn up partnership agreements with over 20 countries,
has more than 90 overseas partners and at least 60 Italian ones and
manages an overall budget of over 5 million euro.
In 2010, with the Municipality of Rimini and the Chamber of Commerce, the
Province founded the Associated Office for Community Policies designed to make
their work even more effective. Its objectives are: to study the main funding
programmes on which the authorities decide to present territorial projects and
promotions (information, consultancy, awareness raising), in order to involve the
municipalities, authorities, associations, no-profit organisations and businesses, to
present projects, to support organisational, administrative and economic-financial
management of the projects approved and to promote and develop international
relations with authorities and institutions in other European countries, in order to
create institutional cooperation and collaboration opportunities.
