Major objectives of the JOIN US project : training of trainers to deal with target group
students and training of families to deal with the target group students vas realised
through:.
- The parents` awareness of their active and pro-active part in educating children
by self-education, initiative, being acquainted with their own child.
- The usage of different counselling strategies.
- The identification of the barriers in teaching the adults.
- To know the experimental methods for teaching adults and to know the other
countries` experience in the field of adults` education (barriers, strategies
coutents, impact of the cultural factors on the education of the adults.
- To discover possibilities to integrate models and strategies to teach and counsel
the adults with the aim of improving their education and of making the adults`
access to the learning activity easier.
- Pedagogic and didactic orientation and counselling to prevent the educational
failure.
- To know the experimental methods for teaching adults and to know the other
countries` experience in the field of adults` education (barriers, strategies
coutents, impact of the cultural factors on the education of the adults.

failure.
The educational programme for parents offered at the school institution the possibility
of acting efficiently in the relationship family-school for the school abandonment and of
children` s abuse. The programme offered the school institutions the possibility of
preparing experts in the field of parents` education (trainers of trainers and trainers for
parents ) capable of organizing lessons for parents based on a unitary methodology. It also
offered the possibility of concentrating all the effors made by the school institutions in
order to create s unitary educational system for parents. It facilitates the initiation of a
network of experts in the field of parents` education on a national and transnational level.
The training of the teachers involved in the grown/ups` education was
accomplished by means of continuous training courses, in order for them to develop further
abilities and qualifications in the field of parental education.
The teachers involved in the grown/ups` education was trained during the
development of the project, through the activities that was carried on, through exchanges
of experience and information, through assimilating the parents` new acquisitions, the new
methods acquired on the occasion of the reciprocal visits, of the project reunions as well as
the transnational mobility of people.
Even the use of informational and communication technologies the development of
the project as well as the enrichment of the linguistic competence was represented by
themselves activities of personal and professional training
The most important activity proposed by the „Educational Partnership JOIN US!” project
is represented by the courses for the parents. These have been developed in each of the
institutions that are partner in the project between January – May 2006, as it was
establish in the application.
COSCIENZA GIOVANILE - YOUTH AWARENESS, during the project involved doctors,
psychologists, pupil's families and some teachers from the S. Bosco school. The “training
tools”, used in an innovative way, were: brainstorming, watching tapes, informal
language, body language. The aims of the project were respected and improved through
the practical and material partecipation of the parents
Team group of our association was: Giovanna Accuosto (teacher) Alda Spillino
(sociologist) .
The activities were developed in theorical and practical way involving at first the parents
and secondly the teachers in an harmonic collaboration. The results were a new and right
way to speak with the children, to create the awareness for all the educators about the
unique personality of the children, the improvement of methodologies in order to respect
and to grow up this uniqueness. The aims of the project in the final evaluation were
respected at all and now the learners-parents have new “educational tools” and a new
collaboration with the teachers, very useful in the personality's development of the
children.
Finally our association's staff was working with all the involved actors in order to create a
more active role of the children in the community life under the supervision of the
learners-parents and the teachers specially using the material developed (first at all
brochures)

The materials realized help really much the beneficiaries. They were one group of parents
(8-20 peoples), another group of teachers (2 peoples) and some children (8-20) involved in
the project.
The realisation of the meetings between the parents and the teachers with the support of
psychologists and pedagogues,with lessons,learning activities and exercises aimed at a
new parents knowledge about their children.
The dissemination was at local level with the distribution of brochures and guides and at
the others level mostly through the use of the website and internet (newsletters, networks,
etc.)
Every step of the project had a continuous phase of autoevaluation and check about the
parents knowledge improvement and about the general aims of the project.
Coscienza Giovanile realized great courses to help the beneficiaries
Course development:
We realized 5 formal debates with all learners and teachers and 18 lessons. the lessons,
also, were organized in different steps (entry level skills, medium skills and high skill).
The number of participants (adult lerners/ parents/ teachers) the staff involved in
transnational mobility activities was 2: Ebolese Stefania - Ebolese Amedeo

- Gresia Giuseppina .
- The staff involved in wider project activity are 3 men and 3 women

- The period in which we realized the courses was from January 2006 in order to the first
step; from March to April 2006 in order to the second step and from June to August
2006 in order to the third step
About the team of the Project:
- The coordinator in Coscienza Giovanile was Matteo Restaino, the President of the same
Association (Coscienza Giovanile)
- Local partners was “S. Bosco” school and some its teachers
Final products made by Coscienza Giovanile are:
Posters, Bilingual Brochures, Guides, Photos albums, booklet,
Meetings for the final evaluations, Power point presentation
Some activities for dissemination of the Project activities.
During the courses we used innovative ways: brainstorming, watching tapes, informal
language, body language.
Finally all the parents involved in the course showed different motivations: some of them
showed to face children’s difficult behaviour (lack of self-confidence, aggressiveness ,
etc..), some others showed the simple curiosity to know what the emotional intelligence
was.
All parents try to improve their own capability to take care of children’s needs.
To involve parents, in a first time was not really easy but after the first debate they
decided, together with the trainer, that it could be better for all them.

COSCIENA GIOVANILE. Il nostro progetto ha coinvolto insegnanti, genitori, esperti
educatori e istituzioni locali.
L’obiettivo principale di questo progetto è la relazione tra genitori insegnanti alunni con
problemi.
Durante il progetto la nostra associazione ha coinvolto dottori, psicologi, famiglie degli
allievi e alcuni insegnanti della scuola S. Bosco. Gli “strumenti di lavoro”, utilizzati in
maniera innovativa, erano: brainstorming, visione di cassette, linguaggio informale,
linguaggio del corpo. Gli obiettivi del progetto erano rispettati e migliorati attraverso la
partecipazione pratica e materiale dei genitori

Le attività sono state sviluppate in modo teorico e pratico, coinvolgendo in un primo
momento i genitori e successivamente gli insegnanti, in collaborazione armoniosa. I
risultati sono stati: un nuovo modo corretto di parlare con i bambini, di creare la
consapevolezza in tutti gli educatori della personalità unica dei bambini, il miglioramento
delle metodologie al fine di rispettare e far crescere tale unicità.
Gli obiettivi del progetto sono stati interamente rispettati e ora i partner di apprendimento
hanno nuovi “strumenti educativi” e possono contare su una nuova collaborazione con gli
insegnanti, molto utile per lo sviluppo della personalità dei bambini..
Nella realizzazione dell’opuscolo bilingue, distribuito ai partner, agli studenti (genitori), ai
membri di una comunità locale (insegnanti, specialisti).
Lo staff della nostra associazione ha lavorato con tutti I partecipanti coinvolti al fine di
creare un ruolo più attivo del bambino nella vita comunitaria sotto la supervisione dei
genitori-allievi e degli insegnanti, utilizzando principalmente il materiale prodotto
(brochure)

I beneficiari sono stati un gruppo dei genitori (8-20 persone), un altro gruppo degli
insegnanti (2 persone) ed alcuni bambini (8-20) addetti al progetto
La realizzazione delle riunioni fra i genitori e gli insegnanti con il supporto degli psicologi
e dei pedagoghi, con le lezioni, le attività di apprendimento e le esercitazioni ha
puntato su una nuova conoscenza dei genitori circa i loro bambini
La diffusione è stata realizzata a livello locale attraverso la distribuzione degli opuscoli e
delle guide e agli altre livelli principalmente con l'uso del sito Web e di Internet
(bollettini, reti, ecc.)
Ogni step del progetto ha avuto una continua fase di auto valutazione e controllo circa il
miglioramento della conoscenza dei genitori e circa gli obiettivi generali del progetto.
Successivamente abbiamo realizzato 5 dibattiti formali con tutti gli insegnati ed I discenti e
18 lezioni. Le lezioni inoltre sono state organizzate in diversi step di competenze (base,
medio, alto). Il numero dei partecipanti staff coinvolto nell’ attività di
mobilità
transnazionale è stato di 2: Ebolese Stefania - Ebolese Amedeo.
Mentre i discenti coinvolti attività di mobilità transnazionale sono satti 2: - Ciorciaro
Federica - Gresia Giuseppina .
Tutti i genitori hanno provato ad incrementare le loro capacità di venire incontro alle
esigenze dei loro ragazzi.
Coinvolgere i genitori in un primo momento non è stato facile ma dopo il primo dibattito
loro hanno deciso insieme ai trainer che il progetto sarebbe stato meglio per loro stessi.
