President's Report
Dear Members and supporters,
As you have already noticed this month we
have a shortened edition of the newsletter.
With the Feast only a few weeks away we just
want to point out the important events that will
mark a very important next 6 months for the
Society.
Without doubt the most important event is the
Feast of Saint Hilarion on Sunday 25th
October 2009 at Mater Christi Church. The
program will tell you all the details of the week.
This year will mark a change in the feast as we
prepare the way for a new generation into the
Society.
OCTOBER 2009
We ask everyone to bring photos of their loved
ones and young children to display at the
Masses during the week. They will symbolize
what the Society has been doing through the
year.
In addition, after every Mass during the
Triduum there will be coffee and snacks at the
Society’s house at 193 Tapleys Hill Road,
Seaton. We encourage you all to come not
only to the Masses, but to enjoy the
refreshments afterwards.
You will also notice that the entertainment for
the Feast will be exclusively young performers.
The future of the Society and our Community is
in our young and we all want to see them
promoted to the maximum of their talents.
During the day of the Feast show them how
much we appreciate what they do.
The next important event will be the Cross
Topping Ceremony at the new House of
Hilarion at Seaton on Sunday November 15.
This ceremony will mark an important stage of
the new facility and will top the highest point of
the building which is, appropriately, over the
Chapel. More about this appears in the Feast
Program.
The Ladies Committee of the Aged Care
Building Appeal will hold their Melbourne Cup
luncheon at the Marche Club on Tuesday
November 3. You will find a flyer with this
newsletter and we ask you all to attend the
event and to sell tickets to your friends.
We also ask you to take note of the ad for the
Christmas Dinner as this will be the final
fundraising event for the year for the Aged
Care Building Appeal.

And a desperate love of the town that they fled, whose
crude life they recognize, but which has remained inside
them as Memory and childhood legends.

Gentili Soci e simpatizzanti,
come avrete gia` notato, questo mese
abbiamo un’edizione ridotta del nostro
giornalino. Con la Festa a poche settimane
desideriamo soltanto farvi notare gli
avvenimenti importanti per la Socita` nei
prossimi 6 mesi.
Senza dubbio l’avvenimento piu` importante
e` la Festa di Sant’Ilarione che si terra`
domenica 25 ottobre alla Chiesa Mater
Christi di Seaton. Tuti i dettagli della
settimana si trovano nel programma. La festa di
quest’anno segnera` un cambio nella Societa`
mentre ci prepariamo la strada per la nuova
generazione.
OTTOBRE 2009
Chiediamo a tutti di portare la fotografie
dei loro defunti e i figli giovani alle Messe
durante la settimana. Saranno il simbolo di
quel che la Societa ha fatto durante la
corsa dell’anno.
Inoltre, dopo ogni Messa del Triduo offriremo
caffe` e rinfresco alla Casa della Societa` a
193 Tapleys Hill Road, Seaton. Vi incoraggiamo
a venire non soltanto alle Messe, ma anche al
rinfresco dopo.
Noterete anche che quest’anno tutto
l’intrattenimento
della
festa
sara`
esclusivamente da artisti giovani. Il futuro della
Societa` e di nostra Comunita` e` nei nostri
giovani and noi vogliamo tutti promuovere al
massimo i loro talenti. Nel corso della Festa
facciamo vedere quanto apprezziamo quel che
fanno.
Il prossimo avvenimento sara` domenica 22
novembre con la cerimonia di mettere la Croce
sulla nuova Casa di Sant’Ilarione. Questa
cerimonia segnera` una fase importante del
nuovo edificio e mettera` il segno sul punto
piu` alto della casa che sara`, giustamente
sopra la Cappella. Altre informazioni a riguardo
saranno nel programma della Festa.
Martedi 3 novembre, Il Comitato Femminile
dell’Appello per la Nuova casa terra` il suo
pranzo per la Melbourne Cup al Marche Club.
Troverte un opuscolo con questo giornalino e vi
chiediamo di assistere alla giornata e di
vendere biglietti ai vostri amici.
Vi chiediamo anche di notare il volantino per la
Cena Natalizia che sara` il nostro ultimo
avvenimento dell’Appello per la raccolta di
fondi per la Nuova Casa per quest’anno.
Come sempre, se avete qualche domanda da
fare a riguardo qualsiasi aspetto delle attivita`
della Societa` non esitate di mettervi in

contentissimo di parlarvi.

semplici, come la bontà dei loro frutti e dei loro vini.
Amore disperato del loro paese, di cui riconoscono la vita
cruda, che hanno fuggito, ma che in loro è rimasta allo
stato di ricordo e di leggenda dell'infanzia.
