Wine, Culture. and Taste of Italy. DC Italian Sommeliers and Casa Italiana, in collaboration with Istituto Italiano di Cultura, Italians in DC and the Circolo Veronesi nel Mondo, Passatempo and Carlos Rosario Art Culinary School present a series of 7 seminars on Italian wines, cultural aspects and tasting. Sessions will include cultural events combining wine and the world of art, music, fiction, poetry and movies. The seminars will describe Italian regions’ wine production. Experts will present a brief introduction on the regional background and cultural heritage and a detailed profile of the most relevant regional wines’ characteristics. Trained sommeliers will guide the wine tastings. Events will take place on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, from January to May 2013. At the final meeting a farewell dinner will be offered to participants and friends who attended all seminars. Cost $35 per event / $ 200 for all events.
