Architektur schafft Wein-Erlebnis. Hierfür haben wir den Ansitz Pfitscher aus der Dorfmitte von Montan mitten in die Weinberge
verlegt. Akribische Ressourcenschonung stand beim Neubau unserer Kellerei im Mittelpunkt. Entstanden ist ein zeitgenössisches
Anwesen, das sich bei aller Modernität äußerst zurückhaltend in das Landschaftsensemble einfügt.
Jeder Arbeitsschritt wird hinterfragt, aus jeder Lage das beste Potential eruiert.
Bodenständigkeit und Leidenschaft spielen dabei genauso eine Rolle wie Innovation und Naturverbundenheit. Unser Ziel ist es, die seit
Generationen gepflegte Tradition zu bewahren und immer wieder zu verbessern.
Abbiamo deciso di trasferire la Tenuta Pfitscher dal centro del paese di Montagna al cuore dei vigneti, rivolgendo la massima attenzione
alla rispettosa cura delle risorse, poiché l’architettura è in grado di rendere il vino un’esperienza indimenticabile.
La nuova cantina, infatti, è una tenuta contemporanea, la cui modernità s’armonizza con discrezione con il paesaggio.
Ogni fase di lavoro è pensata e da ogni sito si ricava il potenziale migliore. Le nostre massime sono: autenticità e passione, innovazione
e naturalezza. Il nostro obiettivo è conservare le tradizioni antiche delle generazioni passate curarle e migliorarle costantemente.
Architecture creates wine experience. This is why we displaced the Pfitscher estate from the heart of Montagna into the middle of the
vineyards – creating a new winery which merges discreetly with the landscape despite its modernity. Accurate and gentle handling of
resources was important to us during the construction of our new winery.
We question every single working step and consider which site offers the best potential. A down-to-earth character and much passion
are fundamental, as well as innovation and nature-loving attitude. It is our goal to preserve traditions founded by our ancestors and
meliorate them in continuation.

In den puristischen Innenräumen des kompakten Gebäudes empfängt den Besucher eine imposante Fensterfassade mit einer
atemberaubenden Sicht auf den Talkessel des Unterlandes. Die Wände des edlen Verkostungsraumes wurden gezielt in Schwarz gehalten
um die Bühne den präsentierten Weinen zu überlassen. Um dem von Schwarzblech und Glas geprägten Verkaufsambiente eine wohlige
Atmosphäre zu verleihen haben wir gezielte Farbtupfer gesetzt - mit roten Stühlen oder einem goldenen Waschbecken etwa.
All’interno del compatto edificio puristico il visitatore nota un’impressionante facciata di vetro con una veduta mozzafiato sul fondovalle
della Bassa Atesina. Le pareti dell’elegante sala degustazioni, di colore nero, mettono in risalto la nostra gamma di vini. Il locale adibito
alla vendita, invece, contraddistinto da lamiera nera e vetro, è pervaso dalla piacevole atmosfera diffusa da punti di colore, ottenuti, ad
esempio, grazie alla scelta di sedie rosse e un lavandino dorato.
The puristic interior of the compact building welcomes the visitor with an impressing window front and a breathtaking view of the
Bassa Atesina valley. The walls of the noble wine-tasting room are kept black in order to leave the stage to the stars: our wines! A cosy
atmosphere is guaranteed by little spots of colour in the surroundings characterized by black steel and glass: red chairs, a golden wall
fountain and much more.

The formal purity and minimalism of our winery reflects the fresh and idiosyncratic wines we produce. The wine cellar in the underground
benefits from the freshness of the ground and is dominated by a clever variety of colours. The walls shine in yellow, red and blue – three colours
representing our white and red wines.

for the use of renewable energies. This is a
new quality seal by the ClimaHouse Agency,
reviewing the environmental compatibility of
the building as well as the living comfort, the
use of energy and water in wine production,
the choice of packaging and the consequences
of transport.
Ende März 2012 haben wir als erste Kellerei Italiens das Qualitätssiegel KlimaHaus Wine erhalten. Es ist dies eine Auszeichnung, die
unseren Beitrag für die Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit anerkennt. Vor allem was den Einsatz erneuerbarer Energien bei der Weinerzeugung
betrifft. Es ist uns gelungen höchste Energieeffizienz mit einer für Klimahäuser ungewohnt offenen Architektur zu vereinen.
Gleichzeitig fügt sich unsere Kellerei in die Besonderheiten der Landschaft ein, die von einem großen Lagenpotenzial gekennzeichnet
ist und von unserer ehrlichen Winzerarbeit kontinuierlich gepflegt wird.
Uns auf Südtiroler Reben zu konzentrieren und sortentypische, ehrliche und hochwertige Weine zu erzeugen, das ist unser Ziel.
A fine marzo del 2012, la nostra cantina è stata la prima d’Italia a ottenere il sigillo di qualità di CasaClima Wine, una certificazione che
riconosce il nostro contributo per l’ambiente e la sostenibilità, soprattutto per quanto concerne l’impiego di energie rinnovabili per la
produzione del vino. In occasione della costruzione della nuova cantina, siamo riusciti a combinare la più elevata efficienza energetica
con un’architettura aperta, insolita per un edificio CasaClima.
Nel contempo, la nostra cantina s’inserisce nel particolare paesaggio, caratterizzato da un enorme potenziale geografico e
costantemente curato dalla nostra attività di viticoltura. Rivolgere la massima attenzione ai vitigni altoatesini e produrre vini varietali,
nobili e pregiati è il nostro motto.
End of March 2012, we were the first winery in Italy which received the quality seal KlimaHaus Wine. This is an award that recognizes
our contribution to environment and sustainability, especially regarding the use of renewable energies in wine production.
It has led to a very high energy efficiency, combined with an open architecture which is very atypical for clima houses.
At the same moment, our wine cellars merge with the characteristics of the landscape - marked by a huge territorial potential and
cultivated in continuation by our honest winemaker work. Focusing on regional grape varieties and producing authentic, genuine and
natural wines are our goals.

Montan ist ein idyllischer Ort am Osthang des Unterlandes oberhalb von Castelfeder. Bekannt als eine der besten Lagen für den
Blauburgunder und geprägt von steilen Hängen, kostbaren Terrassenlagen und einem milden, alpinkontinentalen Klima.
Das Aushängeschild unserer Kellerei ist der Pinot Nero Matan Riserva. Ein gut strukturierter Blauburgunder mit einer ausgesprochenen
Eleganz, weich und reich an aromatischen Nuancen.
Neben Montan hat unsere Kellerei auch Weinberge in Kurtatsch, Auer und Neumarkt, wo unter anderem unsere autochthonen
Rebsorten wie der Lagrein, Vernatsch oder Gewürztraminer gedeihen. Damit verfügen wir über eine natürliche Vielfalt an Lagen. Jede
Lage ist von einer reichen Bodenbeschaffenheit gekennzeichnet und wird von uns nach naturnahen Anbaukriterien bewirtschaftet.
Montagna è un paese idilliaco, adagiato sul versante orientale della Bassa Atesina, al di sopra della Rocca Castelfeder, noto come una
delle migliori località per il Pinot Nero: una zona caratterizzata da ripidi pendii, preziose terrazze e un mite clima alpino-continentale.
Nel cuore di questa straordinaria area vinicola sorge la nostra nuova cantina, efficiente dal punto di vista energetico, il cui emblema è il
Pinot Nero Matan Riserva, un vino ben strutturato, particolarmente elegante e ricco di delicate note aromatiche.
La nostra cantina dispone anche di vigneti a Cortaccia, Ora ed Egna, vicino a Montagna, dove crescono per esempio i nostri vitigni
autoctoni di Lagrein, Schiava o Gewürztraminer. Così, disponiamo di una varietà di siti geografici caratterizzati da un terreno ricco e
fertile, lavorati personalmente secondo criteri naturali.
Montagna is an idyllic place on the oriental hang just above Rocca Castelfeder. An area rife with steep slopes, precious terraces and
a mild, alpine-continental climate. In the heart of this unique producing area you will find our new, energy-efficient wine cellars.
The flagship of our winery is the Pinot Nero Matan Riserva. A wine with terroir and is thus well-structured, with an evident elegance,
smooth and rich in aromatic nuances.
Other than in Montagna, our winery has vineyards in Cortaccia, Ora as well as in Egna, where our autochthonal grape varieties like
Lagrein, Schiava or Gewürztraminer grow. Therewith, we have a natural variety of territories characterized by a rich soil and cultivated
by us according to natual principles.

Unsere Weine sind ein Abbild der Natur, die Qualität erreichen wir in unserer täglichen Arbeit in den zum Teil steilen Hängen unserer
Weinberge. Hier erhalten unsere Weine ihre unverwechselbare Identität. Dabei lassen wir die Reben stark werden und garantieren den
Trauben einen optimalen Reifeprozess. Die eingebrachte Qualität der Trauben versuchen wir durch schonende Arbeitsabläufe auch im
Keller zu bewahren. Damit sich Lage, Rebsorte und Jahrgang auf eine möglichst natürliche Weise entfalten können.

che consentono alla posizione, al vitigno e all’annata di dispiegare le loro qualità nella maniera più naturale possibile.

er zwischen einem Rubinrot und einem Violett. In der Nase leichte
Nuancen von Veilchen und Waldbeeren. Im Gaumen vollmundig, im
Abgang samtig.

Dieser kräftige rubin- bis granatapfelrote Wein weist eine leichte
Veilchennote auf. Im Geschmack ist er reich an feinen Tanninen, im
Gaumen harmonisch und vollmundig, im Abgang samtig. Charakter
und edle Würznoten erhält der Lagrein vor allem durch den Ausbau in
kleinen Eichenholzfässern.
Vino robusto con sfumature di colore dal rosso rubino al melagrana,
ricco di raffinati tannini e con delicate note di violetta. Al palato risulta
equilibrato e pieno, inizialmente vellutato. L’affinamento in piccole botti
di rovere conferisce al Lagrein carattere e pregiate note aromatiche.
This strong ruby- to garnet-red wine has a light note of violets. Its taste
is rich in fine tannins; it is harmonious on the palate, with a full body and
a velvety finish. The Lagrein draws its character and noble spicy notes in
particular from its aging in small oak barrels.

Unser Pinot Nero Matan ist ein Wein mit Terroir, gut strukturiert also,
mit einer ausgesprochenen Eleganz, weich und reich an aromatischen
Nuancen. Die großen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht
während der Reifezeit geben diesem kräftig dunkelroten Wein einen
besonders fruchtbetonten Charakter und prägen den nach Waldbeeren
duftenden Matan mit Frucht und Rasse.
Der intensive Duft nach roten und dunklen Beeren sowie nach
Brombeeren ist typisch für unser Anbaugebiet in Montan. Damit kommt
der Blauburgunder aus dem Unterland manchen Vorbildern aus dem
Burgund verblüffend nahe. Im Mund entfaltet sich dieser Rotwein
harmonisch, vollmundig und anhaltend. Im Glas schimmert der Wein in
einem schönen Dunkel- bis Rubinrot.
Grazie al terroir, questo vino è contraddistinto da carattere, eleganza,
delicatezza e note aromatiche. La notevole escursione termica tra giorno e
notte, che caratterizza la fase di maturazione dell’uva, rende questo robusto
vino rosso scuro, dall’aroma di frutti di bosco, particolarmente strutturato.
L’aroma intenso di more, bacche rosse e nere è tipico dei nostri vigneti
di Montagna, grazie a cui il Pinot Nero della Bassa Atesina presenta una
sorprendente somiglianza con quello della Borgogna. Al palato ha un
gusto pieno, equilibrato e persistente con brillanti sfumature di colore
che spaziano dal rubino al rosso scuro.
Our Pinot Nero Matan is a wine with terroir and is thus well-structured,
with an evident elegance, smooth and rich in aromatic nuances. The high
temperature differences between day and night during the ripening season
give this powerfully dark red wine a particularly fruit-toned character,
lending fruit and pedigree to the Matan with its scents of forest berries.
The intensive scent of red and dark berries as well as blackberries is typical
of our vineyards in Montan. The Blauburgunder from the Unterland region
comes astonishingly close to some of the “model” wines from Burgundy.
This red wine develops harmoniously, with a full body and lasting finish. In
the glass it gleams with a beautiful dark to ruby red.

Der aus ausgesuchter Einzellage stammende Gewürztraminer „Caldif“
präsentiert sich in einer goldgelben Farbe. Nach mehrmonatiger
Flaschenreifung, ist dieser fruchtige und nach Rosen duftende Wein
im Geschmack harmonisch und anhaltend aromatisch mit exotischen
Fruchkomponenten.
Dieser Weißwein gedeiht auf eiszeitlichen Moränenboden. Mit seiner
hellgrünen Farbe duftet er unverkennbar intensiv nach Stachelbeeren,
schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Holunder, Flieder und Gras. In der Nase
hat er ein sehr fruchtiges und intensives Aroma, im Geschmack ist er
trocken und hat einen feinen Säurespiel.
Il Gewürztraminer “Caldif” proviene da una zona selezionata e si
presenta con un colore giallo dorato, note di rose e frutti esotici. Questo
vino armonico e armoticamente persistente raggiunge la sua piena
evoluzione solo dopo diversi mesi di maturazione in bottiglia.
Vino bianco dal colore verde chiaro e dall’inconfondibile e intenso
aroma di uva spina, ribes nero, sambuco, lillà ed erba, proveniente da
vitigni cresciuti su terreni morenici d’origine glaciale. Al naso presenta
un aroma intenso e fruttato, mentre al palato è secco, con delicate note
acidule.
This intense golden coloured Gewürztraminer “Caldif” grows in the
best vineyard zones and presents itself with an aroma of roses. This
harmonic and lastingly aromatic wine reaches its full development only
after several months of aging in the bottle.
This white wine is grown on ice-age morainic soils. With its pale-green
colour, it has unmistakably intense scents of gooseberries, blackcurrants,
elder, lilac and grass. Its nose has a very fruity and intense flavour, while
the taste is dry with a fine interplay of acids.

weist eine leichte Veilchennote auf sowie Aromen
von Waldbeeren, frischen Kirschen und Pflaumen.
Vino dalle intense tonalità dal rubino al violetto, ricco
di tannini, equilibrato e corposo con leggere note di
violetta, frutti di bosco, ciliegie fresche e prugne.
This wine, ruby to violet in colour, is rich in tannins,
intensive in colour, harmonious and tangy. It has a
light note of violets as well as to aromas of forest
berries, fresh cherries and plums.

Merlot “Kotzenloater”
Dieser rubinrote Merlot hat einen erhöhten
Zuckergehalt, intensive Fruchtnoten und ist sehr
gehaltvoll. Geschmacklich erinnert der volle,
kräftige und herbe Rotwein an reife Kirschen und
Johannisbeeren mit einem weichen Tannin und einer
leichten Barriquenote.
Lange Zeit wurde der Südtiroler Vernatsch unterschätzt,
nun erlebt diese autochthone, also alteingesessene,
Traubensorte ein kleines Revival. Der Edelvernatsch
„Collis“ ist ein leichter, gerbstoffarmer Wein mit einer
leuchtenden rubinroten Farbe. Im Geschmack ist er mild
und harmonisch und hat eine fruchtige Note.
Corposo vino rosso rubino con un elevato tenore
zuccherino e intense note fruttate. Pieno, robusto e
austero al palato, presenta note di ciliegie mature e
ribes con un delicato tannino e un leggero aroma di
barrique.
Tradizionale e autoctono vitigno altoatesino, che gode
finalmente della meritata fama. La Schiava Gentile “Collis”
è un vino leggero e poco tannico dal brillante rosso rubino
con note fruttate; delicato ed equilibrato al palato.
This ruby-red Merlot has a high sugar content, intensive
fruit notes and is very hefty. In terms of taste, this full,
strong and tart red wine is reminiscent of ripe cherries
and currants, with soft tannins and a light barrique note.
Long underestimated, the South Tyrolean Vernatsch grape,
an old-established native variety, is now experiencing a
mini-revival. The Edelvernatsch “Collis” is a light wine, low
on tannins, with a bright ruby-red colour. Its taste is mild
and harmonious and has a fruity note.

trockenen Weines. Das intensive und fruchtige
Bukett ist typisch für einen Rosewein aus Südtirols
Süden, wobei das Aroma frisch und angenehm nach
roten Früchten wie Kirschen oder Himbeeren duftet.

aroma di frutti rossi, ciliegie o lamponi e dall’intenso
bouquet fruttato, tipico dei rosé della Bassa Atesina.
Its bright ruby-red reflects the lightness of this dry
wine. The intense, fruity bouquet is typical for a
rosé wine from South Tyrol’s Unterland, with a fresh
and pleasant aroma of red fruits such as cherries or
raspberries.

ist hocharomatisch und würzig. Der fruchtig
aromatische Duft erinnert an Rosen und weist
Aromen von exotischen Früchten auf. Im Geschmack
ist dieser stroh- bis goldgelbe Weißwein völlig mild
und harmonisch.
Longevo e raffinato Gewürztraminer dall’intenso
aroma fruttato di rosa con note di frutti esotici. Vino
bianco con sfumature di colore dal giallo paglierino
all’oro, delicato ed equilibrato al palato.
This long-lived, elegant Gewürztraminer is highly
aromatic and tangy. The fruity, aromatic scent is
reminiscent of roses and has flavours of exotic fruits.
The taste of this straw- to golden-yellow white wine
is very mild and harmonious.
Dieser trockene frische Weißwein hat eine
angenehme Fülle und strahlt in einem kräftigen
Gelb. Er ist sehr wuchtig und duftet sehr delikat
nach exotischen Früchten, reifen Stachelbeeren oder
Äpfeln.
Ein sehr frischfruchtiger Weißwein mit einer zarten
grüngelben Farbe, der feine Fruchtakzente von gelben
Äpfeln verbreitet. Im Gaumen ist dieser Pinot Bianco
fein strukturiert und ausgewogen mit einem kräftigen,
eleganten Körper.
Vino bianco fresco e secco, dal sapore piacevolmente
pieno e dal colore giallo intenso. Molto forte, al naso
presenta un delicato aroma di frutti esotici, uva spina
matura o mele.

tenue colore verde-giallo, che emana raffinate note di
mele gialle. Delicatamente strutturato ed equilibrato al
palato con un corpo robusto e raffinato.

and a strong yellow colour. It is vigorous, with very
delicate scents of exotic fruits, ripe gooseberries or
apples.

Der sehr leichte und doch sehr edle Weißwein weist
eine milde Säure und ein fruchtiges Bouquet auf. In
der Nase überzeugt er mit einem feinen Muskat-Ton
sowie mit Aromen von Nüssen und Steinfrüchten.
Faszinierend auch die klare grüngelbe Farbe, die
den fruchtigen und intensiven Geschmack dieses
trockenen Weißweines bestätigt.
Pregiato vino bianco leggero, caratterizzato da una lieve
acidità e da un bouquet fruttato. Al naso affascina con
delicate note di noce moscata, noci e frutta con nocciolo.
Il chiaro colore verde-giallo di questo vino bianco secco
conquista per il suo sapore fruttato e intenso.
This very light yet noble white wine has a mild acidity
and fruity bouquet. Its nose has a clear, fine nutmeg
tone and aromas of nuts and stone fruits. It also has
a fascinatingly clear greenish-yellow colour that
underscores the fruity, intensive taste of this dry white
wine.
