NEW HOLLAND: EVER CLOSER
TO A FULL LINE

ew Holland, always a big
presence at EIMA International, has assigned the
lead this year to its latest combine
harvester, the CR9090, which has
all the tested features of the widely
applauded CR9000 series plus
some. The two-rotor axial machine
ensuring high harvest throughput
is now available with a choice of
three engines: 9,000 cc and 422
HP for the CR9060, 13,000 cc and
530 HP for the CR9080 and 13,000
cc and 591 HP for the CR 9090.
The engines are the latest additions to the Cursor series designed
and made in-house by Iveco, using Fiat Powertrain Technology
(FPT) with electronic injection and
an exhaust turbine, the Turbocompound, which applies its power directly to the engine shaft. The hydrostatic transmission boasts four
electrically controlled gears and a
differential blocking device. Cutting
width varies from 5.18 to 9.15 meters with specialised harvesting
applications: High Capacity for
wheat or rice or the versatile Varifeed, whose cutting table extends
a further 50 cm, to deal with longer,
flattened or tangled crops. For
soya, there is new Super Flex bar
which can harvest even the lowest
beans and, for maize, the 8-row,
foldable Flip-Up heads.
The threshing unit uses biaxial
technology. Two lengthwise rotors
560 mm in diameter and 2,640 mm
long give high threshing efficiency
and grain separation, ensuring high
grain quality and preventing the
development of fungal toxins. Also
worth mentioning is the new OptiClean cleaning system with variable geometry for the wind-controlled pre-sieve and top sieve, not
to mention the Intellicruise device
which matches the combine’s for-

sull’albero motore. La trasmissione è idrostatica a 4
marce ad innesto elettrico e
bloccaggio del differenziale.

bar and on the straw elevator driveline. Then, the Grain Cam scrutinises the concentration of chaff
and broken grain in the sample as it
is transferred through the grain elevator to the grain tank. This information, shown on the new IntelliView III monitor in the form of a
graph, allows the operator to finetune adjustments, further boosting
grain purity. The Discovery Plus
cab with its curved windows is
claimed to be the largest on the
market, also giving noise levels a
claimed 50% lower than the competition. All driving and machine
control is through a multifunctional
lever forming an extension to the
arm rest, and the wide-screen
colour Intelliview touch-screen
monitors provide an at-a-glance
interface.

I nuovi ingressi

I nuovi trattori T4000 Deluxe (quattro modelli da 65
a 97 CV), T4000F (tre modelli di specializzati da frutteto e campo aperto da 78 a
97 CV),T4000N (per vigneti
stretti e frutteti con sesto di
impianto ridotto), T4000V
(quattro modelli da 65 a 97
CV) si distinguono per diversi aspetti: intervalli di manutenzione ogni 600 ore prolungati grazie all’affidabilità
e alla bassa usura offerte dai
nuovi motori Iveco FPT
emissionati Tier III; facile ac-
HarveStar technology ensures
higher production capacity, thanks
to a four drum technology: threshing drum with Opti-Thresh concave, beater, standard Rotary Separator for uniform product flow,
and standard Straw Flow beater.
The Multi-Thresh thresher treats
the crop delicately according to the
type of crop and its humidity. The
Straw Flow Beater makes full use
of the threshing surface, and the
Smart Sieve neutralises cross
slope to ensure regular crop distribution for more effective cleaning.
The Discovery Plus II cab gives excellent visibility, enhanced at night
by the powerful headlight set. The
driver’s arm rest includes a single
control lever for all the most important functions.
While the CSX7000 is rightfully
famed for its high working capacity,
it has a new strong point in the new
Iveco Cursor 9,000 cc common rail
engine, from the latest generation
of propulsion units, producing 242333 HP while satisfying Tier III requirements. The hydrostatic threegear box has a differential block.
Cutting width is variable according
to the various harvesting heads
from 3.96 to 7.32 meters. For hill
and mountain farmers, the Lateral
model keeps the whole machine
perfectly vertical up to a gradient
of 18°.
Tractor debutants
The new tractors, the T4000 De
Luxe (four models from 65 to 97
HP), the T4000F (three models

from 78 to 97 HP), the T4000N and
the T4000V (four models from 65
to 97 HP) have a number of distinguishing features: a lengthened
maintenance interval of 600 hours
thanks to the reliability and low
wear ensured by the new Iveco
Tier III engines; easy maintenance
access; fully openable engine
cowling; easily reachable and
cleanable or replaceable filters; Supersteer front axle with 76° turning
lock, reducing soil compaction and
end of row turning time with a related increase in productivity. The
power clutch makes it possible to
change gear without using the
clutch pedal, and automatic double insertion works when wheel
slip is detected, reducing tyre wear
and giving greater stability thanks
to an electronic module which
monitors a number of variables in
terms of working conditions. The
new Blue CAB is pressurised and
fitted with filters to exclude pollen
and active carbons.
The T5000 on the other hand replaces the TL-A and is fitted with
Iveco FPT turbo intercooler engines producing 76-106 HP. They
too have a lengthened maintenance interval and easier maintenance access, also thanks to ‘soft
start’, which protects the PTO and
equipment from heavy-handed insertion. The series offers full versatility and practicality. The main features of the tracked TK4000 in the
power range of 65-101 HP are the
new design, ample model choice,
easy and safe driving using a single
control lever, the new Lift-O-Matic
Plus lifter, and the new IVECO FPT
engines.
The T6000 series has been completed with four new six-cylinder
models, the new T6000 Range
Command and the T6000 Power
Command, providing higher levels
of comfort, economy, performance, productivity and above all
versatility.

FR9000 forage harvester
New Holland’s new FR9000
forage harvester, already winner of the best machine of
2008 at Agritechnica in Germany and technical innovation
awards elsewhere, boasts a
number of technological novelties. Together with what is described as the largest cutter
head in the industry, the Variflow blower repositioning system saves power in the crop
blowing section, reducing operating costs by reducing the
space between rotor and blower with the change from maize
to grass, enabling a 40% reduction in power. The Power
Cruise system also automatically adapts the ground speed
to reach the highest possible
work rate. The high cutting rate
is maintained without ruining
the crop fibre to guarantee high
crop yields. The engines with
electronic injection rise from,
424 HP to 824 HP, with Turbocompound, the exhaust turbine
which supplies power directly
to the engine shaft.
In another aspect of forage
treatment, EIMA visitors will be
able to admire four new additions to the BB9000 big baler
series which, thanks to an ample choice of blades, more manageable attachment and an improved double tying system to
ensure perfect bales, both in
appearance and in uniformity
and reliability during storage.
The final New Holland novelty
is the easy to use and install EZ
Guide 250, which provides a
practical and clear light bar
with a 4.3 inch colour monitor
screen indicating the path to
follow. Using DGPS, EZ Guide
keeps you working when visibility is poor. Mist, fog or lack
of daylight does not prevent
this guidance system from
keeping you on track. The reduction in operator stress
makes long working days less
of a chore.
