HEALTH CARE FOR ITALIAN PEOPLE WITH TYPE 2
DIABETES
A FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION TO INFORM HEALTH PLANNING TO
IMPROVE DIABETES CARE
We are seeking to recruit Italian people, 40 years or
older, with type 2 diabetes from the local council areas
of Melbourne; Moreland; Moonee Valley or Yarra; to
join a two hour focus group discussion. The aim of this
project is to ask people with type 2 diabetes about their
health care experiences, and the ways that their care
could be improved, to inform health care planning in
these regions.
The focus group will be run in Italian by a professional
health educator. Each group will have up to 8 people
participating. Focus groups will be held at community
health centres.
Each focus group participant will be provided with a $60
gift voucher in recognition of their contribution. We
welcome your participation in one of these groups.

SANITARIA NECESSARIA A MIGLIORARE L’ASSISTENZA AI DIABETICI
Stiamo cercando italiani dai 40 anni in su, con diabete di
tipo 2 nei comuni di Melbourne, Moreland, Moonee
Valley o Yarra a partecipare a una discussione di gruppo
che dura due ore. L’obiettivo di questo progetto è quello
di chiedere alle persone con diabete tipo 2 di parlare
delle loro esperienze di cura della salute, e dei modi in
cui la loro assistenza potrebbe essere migliorata, per
illustrare la programmazione di assistenza sanitaria in
queste regioni.
L’attività di gruppo si svolgera’ in lingua Italiana da un
educatore sanitario professionale. Ogni gruppo avra’
massimo 8 persone, e le discussioni si terra’ presso nei
centri sanitari comunitari.
Ogni partecipante verra’ fornito con $60.00 di buono
omaggio in riconoscimento del loro contributo.
Gradiremmo la vostra partecipazione a uno di questi
gruppi. Saranno offerti rinfreschi leggeri.
