Congress works will be organized in three sessions: one, specifically devoted to discussion of the in-the-field radon intercomparison results for passive measurement devices, which took place during summer 2014; a second session will discuss radon monitoring programmes ongoing in Italy, with a specific emphasis for the National Radon Plan; the third session will be devoted to technical aspects connected to remedial actions. This initiative confirms the interest of the Italian radiation Protection Association in the promotion of opportunities for discussion and clarification among experts in different fields of radiation protection , especially in the frame of the efforts for standardization and harmonization. The significant number of non-italian Laboratories which took part in the intercomparison shows the interest in this kind of initiatives. In order to foster discussion and exchange, each session, after some introductory talks, includes time for discussion. Simultaneous translation Italian/English will be provided Programme May 7 Session I - Intercomparison 8:30 – 9:00 Registration Chairman : Giovanni d’Amore 9:00 – 9:45 Welcome adresses: AIRP Secretary Major of Roccaforte di Mondovì, Riccardo Somà Lurisia Spring, Alessandro Invernizzi Environmental Assessor of Piemonte, A.
