The 5th IEEE Workshop on Biometric Measurements and Systems for Security and Medical Applications (BIOMS 2014) aims to present and discuss various technological, methodological and application issues in areas concerning, but not limited to, advanced sensors, signal processing techniques, patter recognition approaches, systems and applications. Papers are solicited on all aspects of biometric measurements and systems, specifically for security and medical applications. All submissions must clearly present the novelty of their work, and report results on publicly available databases when possible. The authors of selected papers may be invited to submit an extended and enhanced version to IET Biometrics. Submissions: prospective authors should submit extended abstract or draft papers by June 27th, 2014. Decisions will be communicated by July 20th 2014. The final manuscript will be due by August 31sth, 2014.
