L’ASP48 e il PSU2 sono conformi alla Direttiva

• DESCRIZIONE
L’ASP48 è uno splitter attivo a 4 canali, con 4
ingressi e 16 uscite (8 bilanciate elettronicamente ed 8 bilanciate tramite trasformatore).
Lo splitter può essere configurato in modo da
avere 4, 8, 12 o 16 uscite per un ingresso. Ogni
canale è dotato di alimentazione phantom 48V
sugli ingressi, GAIN regolabile da –20dB a
+30dB, PAD di attenuazione del segnale d’ingresso, segnalazione del CLIP, funzione CUE e
selezione
della
sensibilità
d’ingresso
LINE/MIC.L’ASP48 deve essere alimentato dall’unità a doppia alimentazione PSU2. Ogni PSU2
può alimentare 12 ASP48 nella configurazione
“singola alimentazione” o 6 ASP48 nella configurazione “doppia alimentazione”. Tramite il Vumeter a 12 LED è possibile visualizzare il livello
del segnale inviato dagli ASP48 con la funzione
CUE e monitorare tale segnale per mezzo delle
due uscite cuffia. Inoltre è sempre possibile
tenere sotto controllo il corretto funzionamento dei due alimentatori del PSU2 grazie ai LED
di stato delle alimentazioni.
• IMBALLO
L’imballo è stato sottoposto a test di integrità
secondo la procedura ISTA 1A.
Si raccomanda di controllare il prodotto subito
dopo l’apertura dell’imballo. Se vengono
riscontrati danni informare immediatamente il
rivenditore. Conservare quindi l’imballo completo per permetterne l’ispezione.
Proel declina ogni responsabilità per danni
causati dal trasporto.
• SPEDIZIONI E RECLAMI
Le merci sono vendute “franco nostra sede” e
viaggiano sempre a rischio e pericolo del
distributore.
Eventuali avarie e danni dovranno essere contestati al vettore.
Ogni reclamo per imballi manomessi dovrà
essere inoltrato entro 8 giorni dal ricevimento
della merce.
• GARANZIE E RESI
L’ASP48 ed il PSU2 sono provvisti della garanzia di funzionamento e di conformità alle proprie specifiche, come dichiarate dal costruttore.
La garanzia di funzionamento è di 24 mesi
dopo la data di acquisto.
I difetti rilevati entro il periodo di garanzia sui
prodotti venduti, attribuibili a materiali difettosi o difetti di costruzione, devono essere
tempestivamente segnalati al proprio rivenditore o distributore, allegando evidenza scritta
della data di acquisto e descrizione del tipo di
difetto riscontrato. Sono esclusi dalla garanzia
difetti causati da uso improprio o manomissione.

• DESCRIPTION
The ASP48 is a 4-channel, active splitter with 4
inputs and 8 transformer-balanced and 8 electronically-balanced outputs. It can be configured to have 8, 8, 12 or 16 outputs per input.
Each input channel offers 48V phantom power,
-20db-+30dB adjustable gain, 20dB input Pad,
clip indicator, Cue function and Line/Mic input
selector.The ASP48 is powered by the PSU2 double power supply. Each PSU2 can power 6
ASP48’ s in “double power supply” configuration or 12 ASP48’s in “single power supply”
configuration. Visual signal level monitoring is
possible using the 12-LED VU-meter, and individual signals can be monitored through the
headphone output utilizing the Cue function.
Correct functioning of the PSU2 can be ascertained visually with the LED indicator.
• PACKING
The packing of this product has undergone an
integrity test according to ISTA 1A procedure.
It is recommended to inspect the product after
the unpacking.
If any damage is found, notify immediately
your dealer.
Then save the complete packing for inspection.
Proel declines every responsibility for damage
caused by transport.
• SHIPMENTS AND CLAIMS
The goods are sold “ex works” and always travel at the risk and danger of the distributor.
Eventual damage will have to be claimed to the
freight forwarder.
Every claim for broken packs will have to be
forwarded within 8 days from the reception of
the goods.
• WARRANTY AND RETURNS
ASP48 and PSU2 are provided with a warranty
of operation and conformity to its own data
sheets, as declared by the manufacturer.
The operation warranty is valid for 24 months
after the purchase date.
Defects detected within warranty period of
validity on sold products, due to defective
materials or manufacturing faults, must be
promptly reported to your dealer or distributor,
enclosing written evidence of the date of purchase and description of the type of defect
detected. Warranty excludes defects caused by
improper use or tampering.
Proel SpA will verify the validity of the claim
through examination of the defect in relation
to proper use and the actual validity of the
warranty. Proel SpA will eventually provide
replacement or repair of the products declining, however, any obligation of compensation
for direct or indirect damage resulting from
faultyness.

• VERPACKUNG
Die Verpackung dieses Produkts wurde dem
Vollständigkeitstest nach dem ISTA 1A
Verfahren unterzogen.
Es wird empfohlen, das Produkt gleich nach
dem Öffnen der Verpackung zu überprüfen.
Falls Schäden festgestellt werden, informieren
Sie umgehend den Händler.
Bewahren Sie daher die gesamte Verpackung
für eine Überprüfung auf. Proel lehnt jede
Haftung für Transportschäden ab.
• TRANSPORT UND REKLAMATIONEN
Die Waren werden „ab Werk“ verkauft und

Premendo il pulsante si attiva l’alimentazione
PHANTOM sugli ingressi per l’utilizzo di dispositivi che necessitano di alimentazione a

use of condenser microphones or other equipment that requires phantom powering. The
activation of phantom powering is indicated
by the respective LED.

4. CUE
Premendo il pulsante CUE, il segnale del canale
viene inviato alle uscite PHONES e alla barra
LED CUE LEVEL del PSU2. Il pulsante CUE viene
rilasciato automaticamente, quindi è necessario tenerlo premuto per una visualizzazione
ed un ascolto continui. Se vengono premuti
più pulsanti CUE contemporaneamente, il segnale inviato al PSU2 sarà la somma dei segnali
dei relativi canali.
5. CLIP
Indica che il livello di picco del segnale è
prossimo alla saturazione. Nel caso il LED CLIP
sia spesso acceso, è opportuno agire sul selettore GAIN per diminuire il guadagno del segnale.
6. OUT 3 / OUT 4
Uscite bilanciate tramite trasformatore.
Essendo isolate e completamente indipendenti, possono essere utilizzate con qualsiasi
ingresso.
4. CUE
This selector, when held down, sends the
channel signal to the Headphone output and
Cue level LED meter of the PSU2, for individual
channel monitoring. If 2 Cue selectors are held
down simultaneously, the signal sent to the
PSU2 will summed from these two channels.
5. CLIP
This indicator will light when the channel signal is at or near saturation. If this indicator
remains lit or lights very often, the gain control should be lowered accordingly in order to
avoid audible clipping.
6. OUT 3 / OUT 4
Transformer-balanced outputs. As these outputs are independent and transformer-isolated,
they can be used to connect to any kind of
input.

the LOOP OUT of one power supply of the PSU2
must be connected to the POWER IN of the
first ASP48 in the chain and the LOOP RETURN
of the same power supply to the POWER THRU
of the last ASP48 in the chain. For each power
supply of the PSU2, it is possible to connect
up to 6 ASP48, connecting the POWER THRU to
the POWER IN of each intermediary ASP48. The
advantages of this configuration are that a
total of 12 ASP48 units (6 units per each
power supply) can be powered by a single
PSU2, and that an eventual malfunctioning of
an intermediary connector is alleviated by the
fact that power arrives to the first and last
units in the chain.

In the “Double Power Supply” configuration, ,
the LOOP OUT of one power supply of the PSU2

is possible for the PSU2 to power only 6
ASP48’s, but on top of the advantage of alleviating failure due to a bad intermediary connection (as power still arrives to the first and
last units in the chain), it provides assurance
that the chain will continue to be powered
even in the case of a failure of either of the
power supplies of the PSU2.
In the worst-case scenario that there is a
failed connection within the chain and a failure of one of the power supplies, only those
units remaining in connection with the working power supply will continue to function.

ATTENZIONE! Per evitare danni al dispositivo,
si raccomanda di non utilizzare assolutamente
configurazioni diverse da quelle descritte.
INTERNAL CONFIGURATION
It is possible to link the outputs of some or all of
the channels to a specific input channel, changing the position of the internal jumper to assign
4, 8, 12 or 16 outputs to a single input. SW1
assigns the outputs for Input 1, SW2 assigns the
outputs for Input 2, SW3 assigns the outputs for
Input 3, and SW4 assigns the outputs for Input 4.
Initially, the ASP48 is set up to have 4 Outputs
for every input (fig.1). If it is desired to have 8
Outputs for Input 1, the jumper SW2 CH2 MTR
should be changed to SW1 CH2 SLV (fig.2). In this
configuration, the outputs from channels 1 and 2
are linked to Input 1. Repeating this procedure
on further channels can link 12 (fig.3) or 16
(fig.4) outputs to the same input.
Generally, to select the input it is sufficient to
put the jumper on the first position of the selected channel (CH1/2/3/4 MTR); in order to select
the number of outputs to assign to the same
input, jumpers must be added to the other positions of the selected channel, based on the number of outputs desired: CH1 SLV to add the outputs of channel 1, CH2 SLV to add the outputs of
channel 2, CH3 SLV to add the outputs of channel
3, and CH4 SLV to add the outputs of channel 4.
ATTENTION: In order to avoid damage to the unit,
do not configure the ASP48 in any way other than
those described and illustrated in this manual.

Die Ausgänge einiger oder aller Kanäle können
mit einem bestimmten Eingangskanal verbunden
werden, wobei die Leitungsbrücken in der
Vorrichtung so verstellt werden, dass sie 4, 8, 12
oder 16 Ausgänge einem einzigen Eingang zuordnen. SW1 ordnet die Ausgänge dem Eingang 1 zu,

Im Allgemeinen genügt es bei der Wahl des
Eingangs die Leitungsbrücke in die erste Stellung
des gewählten Kanals (CH1/2/3/4 MTR) zu bringen; um die Zahl der Ausgänge zu wählen, die
demselben Eingang zugeordnet sind, müssen
Leitungsbrücken den anderen Positionen des
gewählten Kanals hinzugefügt werden, in
Abhängigkeit der gewünschten Zahl der
Ausgänge: CH1 SLV zur Zuschaltung der Ausgänge
