Thursday 2nd July 2015 from 15h15 to 18h30 within the 3rd Alpine Sleep Summer School at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), Auditorium Via Giuseppe Buffi 13, Lugano Dear Sir or Madam, dear Colleague, we are pleased to invite you to the annual Symposium of Sleep Medicine, organized by the Neurocenter of Southern Switzerland, which will focus on sleep disorders in children. The topic deserves special attention due to its high prevalence and impact on physical and cognitive development of children. Sleep disorders in children are still under-diagnosed and, when recognized, may be difficult to manage. This year, beside its high educational significance, the symposium also celebrates the opening of the specialized outpatient service dedicated to pediatric sleep disorders. In addition, the symposium is scheduled in the context of the 3rd Alpine Sleep Summer School, a prestigious international course on sleep physiology and medicine, which we are proud to host in Lugano. Renowned speakers with extensive experience in research and clinical practice will update us on the latest scientific, diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in children with sleep disorders. We hope to have sparked your interest and look forward to welcoming you to this exciting symposium. Prof. Dr. med. Alain Kaelin Dr. med. Claudio Städler Dr. med.
