L
a recente associazione Arabian Horse Organization è
stata creata alla fine dell’anno 2011 nello scopo di rispondere
alle numerose domande che si porgono a proposito dei show classici,
sotto tutela dell’Ecaho, su quali i
pareri sono abbastanza ricorrenti
oggigiorno perché presentano delle numerose disparità nel settore,
per l’insieme dei concorsi esistenti
per il cavallo purosangue arabo. La
direzione di questa nuova entità è
composta unicamente di persone
competente provenienti dei paesi
del Golfo Arabo.
Per avere successo in una manifestazione di prestigio, il contraente
deve avere un serio approccio del
settore, con un appoggio finanziario
abbastanza consistente per coprire
tutte le spese relative all’evento in
generale. L’Arabian Horse Event
appartiene ad un gruppo dell’Arabia Saudita con sede a Jeddah e un
ufficio europeo a Londra, che gestisce diverse attività in settori che
vanno da beni immobiliari, alle attività portuali, alla comunicazione
senza dimenticare Athbah Stud integrato in questa potente società.
Per garantire il progetto e valorizzare l’allevamento di cavalli arabi, tutto si è accelerato per lanciare
un ambizioso programma composto da tre eventi europei qualificativi: Saint Tropez, Berlino e Varsavia,

he Arabian Horse Organization is a new association
founded at the end of 2011
in response to the numerous questions
arising around the traditional Ecaho
shows where current recurring opinions and numerous disagreements
preside in general in existing shows for
Arabian thoroughbreds.
The managing body of this new organization is entirely made up of competent individuals from Countries of the
Arabian Gulf.
The successful outcome of any prestigious event depends on good connections and the amount of funding
available to guarantee the payment of
all expenses.
The Arabian Horse Event belongs to
a group from Saudi Arabia with head
office in Jeddah and a European office
in London that runs different businesses such as real estate, port activities and communication. Athbah Stud
is also part of this powerful Company.
Three qualifying events have been
organized in Europe (Saint Tropez,
Berlin and Warsaw) to guarantee the
successful outcome of this ambitious
project and promote Arabian Horse
breeding. The Final Championship
will take place in Deauville (France)
in October of this year.

organized for breeders who have to
present horses that they actually own
and that are born in Europe – with

créé à la fin de l’année 2011
dans le but de répondre aux nombreuses
interrogations qui se posent au sujet des
concours classiques placés sous tutelle de
l’Ecaho, dont les avis sont de nos jours
assez récurrents car présentant de nombreuses disparités dans la filière pour
l’ensemble des concours existants pour le
cheval de pur-sang arabe, la direction de
cette nouvelle entité compte uniquement
des personnalités averties issues des pays
du Golfe Arabique.
Pour réussir toute manifestation de
prestige, le maître d’œuvre doit avoir
est une sérieuse approche du secteur, disposant d’une manne financière assez
conséquente afin d’assurer l’ensemble des
dépenses inhérentes à l’évènement dans
toute sa globalité, l’Arabian Horse Event
appartient à un Groupe Saoudien basé à
Djeddah avec un bureau Européen basé
à Londres, il gère de multiples activités
dans les secteurs allant de l’Immobilier,
aux activités Portuaires, aux Communications sans oublier Athbah Stud intégré dans cette puissante holding.
Pour assurer le projet et mettre en valeur l’élevage du cheval arabe, tout s’est
accéléré pour lancer un ambitieux programme composé de trois évènements
européens qualificatifs, Saint-Tropez,
Berlin, Varsovie, avec une grande finale
qui sera disputée en France à Deauville
au mois d’Octobre de l’année courante.

con una grande finale che sarà disputata in Francia (a Deauville) nel
mese di ottobre di quest’anno.
Con questa nuova dimensione di
show organizzati principalmente
per gli allevatori che devono presentare soltanto dei cavalli nati
in Europa e di loro proprietà,
non avendo ottenuto un titolo di
campione negli ultimi tre anni, si
aprono per questi professionisti
dell’allevamento un’opportunità e
un incoraggiamento supportati da
una dotazione fissata a 30.000 euro.
Questo nuovo organismo vuole essere oramai un ponte essenziale per
promuovere e incoraggiare tutti gli
allevatori del mondo.
Con il suo concetto innovativo
estremamente ben pensato e con
la consulenza avvisata da un esperto che non è altro che Mohamed
Machmoum, in primo piano si è
potuto constatare un modo di giudizio abbastanza complesso per alcuni con una tabella di notazione
nuova e elaborata per dettagliare
come si deve i diversi aspetti del cavallo e con una punteggiatura abbastanza ragionevole per giustificare
il piazzamento dei giudici, di cui la
missione è soprattutto di orientare
gli allevatori.
Le competizioni attuali hanno più
che mai l’imperiosa necessità di attualizzare il sistema per mantenere
una credibilità in ogni programma
di sviluppo del settore. Questa nuova tabella dei punteggi considera i
consueti criteri di giudizio (testa,
collo, corpo e linea del sopra, movimento), la novità è nel fatto che

This new Organization intends to be
an essential instrument in promoting
and encouraging breeders from all over
the world.
With its new and extremely wellstudied concept and the expertise of no
other than Mohamed Machmoum, one
of the first things to notice is the new
evaluation method. This new and elaborate score system – which may seem
rather complicated for some - rightly
focuses on the different aspects of the
horse. The reasonable score system justifies the decisions of the judges whose
main role is to provide guidance for
breeders.
Today’s competitions more than ever
need to update their systems to maintain credibility in each and every area
of development. The new points system
considers the usual criteria (head, neck,
body, top line and movement), but the
legs are evaluated separately: there is a
score for the front legs and one for the
hind legs. It is quite obvious that someday there will also have to be a score
for hooves - a part of the horse that is
neglected, even though traces of consanguinity are clearly visible there.
The venue was held at the Saint Tropez Polo Club - a beautiful location
and ideally suited to the presentation
of Arabian Horses. Many breeders had
already been able to appreciate the
Club in the past thanks to shows previously organized by the Saint Tropez
Arabian Cup Association. Unfortunately, the number of horses registered did

Par son nouveau concept assez innovant
extrêmement bien réfléchi avec les conseils
avisés par un expert en la matière qui
n’est autre que Mohamed Machmoum,
en tout premier chef on a pu constater un
mode de jugement assez complexe pour
certains par une toute nouvelle grille de
notation assez consistante afin de détailler comme il se doit les différents aspects
du cheval, avec une ponctuation assez
raisonnable pour justifier le placement
des juges dont la mission est avant toute
chose d’orienter les éleveurs.
Les compétitions actuelles ont plus que
jamais l’impérieuse nécessité d’actualiser le système pour garder une crédibilité
dans tout programme de développement
de la filière, cette nouvelle table de pointage considérait d’habituels critères de
jugements, tète, encolure, corps et ligne
du dessus, mouvement, la nouveauté résidait au fait que les membres faisaient
l’objet de notes séparées, une pour les antérieurs, une seconde pour les postérieurs, il est plus qu’évident qu’ un jour il
faudra inclure une note qui a toute son
importance pour les pieds, aspect encore
trop négligé, la trace de consanguinité y
est bien visible.
Le cadre ainsi que les confortables installations du Polo Club se Saint-Tropez ont offert un bel espace de valorisation du cheval arabe, ce que beaucoup
d’éleveurs ont déjà pu apprécier lors des
précédents évènements organisés en lieu
et place par l’Association Saint Tropez

un’altro per i posteriori. E’ più che
evidente che un giorno bisognerà
includere un punteggio che ha la
sua importanza: per i piedi, aspetto ancora troppo trascurato, ma la
traccia di consanguineità ci è chiaramente visibile.
Il luogo e le comode installazioni
del Polo Club si Saint Tropez hanno offerto un bel spazio di valorizzazione del cavallo arabo, ciò che
molti allevatori hanno già potuto
apprezzare in occasione di precedenti eventi organizzati nello stesso luogo dall’Associazione Saint
Tropez Arabian Cup. Ciò che è
spiacevole risiede nel fatto che la
partecipazione in quantità di cavalli
non raggiungeva il numero aspettato dagli organizzatori, principalmente degli allevatori francesi che
non hanno segnato la loro presenza
in modo significativo: peccato per
loro, un appuntamento perso.
Tuttavia, quasi cinquantacinque
cavalli di grande qualità provenienti da undici diversi paesi (Francia,
Germania, Inghilterra, Austria,
Belgio, Danimarca, Emirati Arabi Uniti, Spagna, Paesi Bassi, Italia, Svezia) sono stati sottoposti al
verdetto dei giudici invitati per lo
show, che si è svolto in un’atmosfera
molto conviviale; un grande contingente di presentatori professionisti
erano presenti.
I numerosi allevatori che da tempo
volevano una necessaria evoluzione
per dei show di buona consistenza in questo inizio di stagione, hanno oramai un nuovo appuntamento
nel calendario di eventi dedicati ai
cavalli arabi. Rimane da definire il
prossimo luogo previsto sulla Côte
d’Azur della stessa qualità per 2013.
Nel periodo attuale, bisogna pensare anche a delle condizioni che soddisfanno tutte le tasche.
Per quello che riguarda i risultati
finali: nel Campionato Puledre Ul
Sid Parma saura del 2010 (El Sid x

take part: a shame, as they missed an
important meeting.
However, almost 55 horses of extremely high quality from 11 different
countries (France, Germany, England, Austria, Belgium, Denmark,
UAE, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy
and Sweden) were evaluated by the
team of Judges in a friendly relaxed
atmosphere. Many important handlers
were present.
Those breeders who were longing for
a much needed change for shows of a
certain type, now have a new date for
their Arabian Horse events calendar.
The only thing left to decide is where the 2013 show of the Côte d’Azur
will take place. Nowadays we have to
think about options that everyone can
afford.
Now to the results of the show:
The Gold Medal of the Fillies Championship was won by the 2010 chestnut filly Ul Sid Parma (El Sid x CA
Kupona), owned by Judy Ohlenschlaaber / Denmark. The Silver Medal

principalement des éleveurs français qui
n’ont pas marquer leur présence de manière significative, dommage pour eux,
un rendez vous manqué.
Cependant, près de cinquante-cinq chevaux de grandes qualités provenant de
onze pays différents, Allemagne, Angleterre, Autriche, Belgique, Danemark,
Emirats Arabes Unis, Espagne, PaysBas, Italie, Suède, se sont soumis au verdict des juges pressentis pour le concours
qui s’est déroulé dans une atmosphère
très conviviale, un fort contingent de
présentateurs professionnels étaient présents.
Les très nombreux éleveurs qui depuis
longtemps souhaitaient une nécessaire
évolution pour des concours élevages de
bonne tenue, en ce début de saison, dans
le calendrier des manifestations dédiées
aux chevaux arabes , ils ont désormais
un nouveau visage, reste à définir le
prochain lieu prévu sur la Côte- d’Azur
tout aussi qualiteux en 2013, dans la
période actuelle, il faut également penser
