ENTRANCE ANTIPHON: Let us all rejoice in the Lord, as we celebrate the feast day in honour of all the Saints,
at whose festival the Angels rejoice and praise the Son of God.
A reading from the Book of Revelation (7:2-4, 9-14)
I John, saw an angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living
God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees,
till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads.” And I heard the
number of the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, out of every
tribe of the sons of Israel. After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which
no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and
tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes,
with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation
belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!” And all the angels stood round the throne and round the elders and the four living creatures,
and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, saying,
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honour and power
and might be to our God for ever and ever ! Amen.” Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, “Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have
they come?” I said to him, “Sir, you know.” And he said to me, “These are they
who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and
made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” This is the Word of the Lord.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM.
Response: Such are the men who seek your face, O Lord.
The Lord’s is the earth and its fullness, the world and all its peoples. It is he who
set it on the seas; on the waters he made it firm. R/
Who shall climb the mountain of the Lord? Who shall stand in his holy place? The
man with clean hands and pure heart, who desires not worthless things. R/
He shall receive blessings from the Lord and reward from the God who saves
him. Such are the men who seek him, seek the face of the God of Jacob. R/
A reading from the First Letter of St John (3:1-3)
See what love the Father has given us, that we should
be called children of God; and so we are. The reason
why the world does not know us is that it did not know
him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; it does not yet
appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as
he is pure. This is the Word of the Lord.
Alleluia, alleluia! Come to me, all who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord. Alleluia!
A reading from the Holy Gospel According to
St Matthew (5:1-12) Seeing the crowds, Jesus went up
on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples
came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them,
saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.” “Blessed are those who mourn, for
they shall be comforted.” “Blessed are the meek, for they
shall inherit the earth.” “Blessed are those who hunger
and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”
“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.”
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called
sons of God.” “Blessed are those who are persecuted for
righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
“Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute
you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my
account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in
heaven.” The Gospel of the Lord.

Offertory:
Communion: For all the Saints
Final:
To God be the Glory
Take and Receive
Be exalted O God
To God be the glory,
great things He hath done,
So loved He the world
that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life
our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate
that all may go in.
Take and receive,
O Lord, my liberty
Take all my will,
my mind, my memory
All things I hold
and all I own are Thine
Thine was the gift,
to Thee I all resign
For all the saints who from their labors rest,
Who you by faith before the world confess,
Your name, O Jesus, be forever blest,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father,
through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory;
great things He hath done.
Do Thou direct
and govern all and sway
Do what Thou wilt,
command, and I obey
Only Thy grace,
Thy love on me bestow
These make me rich,
all else will I forego.
Great things He hath taught us,
great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing
through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher,
and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport
when Jesus we see. (Ref)

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people, the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we stand.
We pay our respects to them for their care of the land. May we walk gently on this land.
We are “Church” in Christ
The twin celebrations of “All Saints” (1 November) and “All Souls” (2 November) were
celebrated already in the early centuries of the
Christian Community (the Church), remembering above all the martyrs for their faith, but then
also all those who have died with faith in Christ
resurrected, some for their holy life, others for
their need of purification for their sins. Thus, in
prayers, the believing community was manifesting a unity between the living and the dead.
This bond of unity is called: The Mystical Body
of Christ. Christ, in fact, the Head of the
Church, gives life to all members of Church: the
militant Church on earth, the purifying Church in
purgatory and the glorious Church in Heaven.
This manifests what we often profess: “I believe in the resurrection
of the dead and the life of the world to come”. This belief is also
recalled in the prayers of the Mass when the priest remembers in
the sacrifice of Christ, the Saints and offer prayers for the
deceased and for us the living. The two celebrations fit well together because they remind us of important realities of our Christian
life, as St. Paul says: “If we live we live in Christ, if we die we die in
Christ”. Therefore, death in the body is only a passage which reveals openly our fidelity to Christ: if we are found faithful, a glorious
life will be given us; if we are found less faithful, we will need a
further purification; if rejecting Christ, the condemnation. Let us
fear the later, imitate the virtues of the saints, let us pray for the
spiritual purification of the deceased and commit ourselves to live
as faithful members of the Church here on earth.
Siamo “Chiesa” in Cristo
crisitana (Chiesa) voleva ricordare anzitutto i
cielo.
Chiesa giá qui in terra.

Tu sei la mia vita, altro io no ho,
Fa pura e santa l’anima mia.
Ave Maria, Ave.
Credo in te Signore, nato da Maria,
Figlio eterno e santo, uomo come noi,
All’ara tua faccio ritorno,
dicendo sempre
con voce pia.
Ave Maria, Ave.
Tu sei la mia forza, altro io no ho.
e in quelli ancora
della sventura:
Ti dirò sempre, O Madre mia.
Ave Maria, Ave.
Mistero della Cena
è il Corpo di Gesù.
Mistero della Croce
è il Sangue di Gesù.
È questo pane e vino
è Cristo in mezzo ai suoi.
Gesù risorto e vivo sarà
sempre con noi.
Mistero della Chiesa
è il Corpo di Gesù .
Mistero della pace
è il sangue di Gesù.
Il pane che mangiamo
fratelli ci farà.
Intorno a questo altare
l’amore crescerà .
