Il marchio Selle SMP sarà presente alle Olimpiadi di Pechino. Due i testimonial dell’innovativa sella dell’azienda
padovana. Il primo d’eccezione, l’inossidabile ed intramontabile francese Jeannie Longo che alla soglia dei 50 anni
parteciperà alla settima rassegna olimpica della carriera disputando
entrambe le prove su strada: domenica 10 agosto la gara in linea e
mercoledì 13 la cronometro, competizioni nelle quali a fine giugno a
Semur en Auxois si è laureata campionessa nazionale.
“I Giochi sono più facili dei mondiali - dice la Longo, chioccia del
Team Pro Feminin Les Carroz - perché le squadre sono formate da
meno elementi. Io posso avere la mia chance, a patto che la corsa
non diventi subito dura. Il clima umido è lo stesso trovato in
Messico, ma io ci sono abituata perché sono spesso a La Réunion.
E’ stato caotico visionare i percorsi. Siamo troppo dipendenti dalle
navette e dall’organizzazione”.
Il secondo testimonial Selle SMP è l’ucraino Volodymyr
Zagorodniy, portacolori della Ngc Medical Otc Industria Porte
vincitore quest’anno di una tappa proprio in Cina al Tour of Qinghai
Lake. Nel Celeste Impero Zagorodniy sarà impegnato nel torneo
della pista che scatterà da Ferragosto al Laoshan Velodrome.
MTB - L’InfoTre-Lee Cougan nel fuoristrada è impegnato nell’Hexagonal VTT, ovvero il Tour de France mtb, ultimo test
in vista delle Olimpiadi di Pechino, dove i “latinos” Jhon Jairo Botero, Paolo Montoya, Rodolfo Torres e Catriel Soto
cercheranno di conquistare uno dei trofei più ambiti della stagione.
MERLO VOLA - Un immenso Michele Merlo sale
sull’otto...volante. Il forte sprinter della Mantovani ha
marchiato con la sua potenza e classe anche il 13° Gp
San Luigi di Caselle di Sommacampagna disputato sulle
strade veronesi. Il bottino stagionale sale così a quota
otto: «Compio gli anni il 7 agosto - spiega Michele volevo regalarmi qualcosa di speciale e questa vittoria
credo sia il miglior regalo che potessi farmi. Sto
attraversando un buon momento di forma, dopo qualche
settimana di riposo sono tornato a vincere. Naturalmente
grazie alla squadra che nel finale ha fatto un lavoro
straordinario».
