Dental implants are titanium screws that are used to anchor a single dental crown or a number of artificial teeth as a bridge or a denture. They act as alternatives to traditional crowns, bridges, dentures and false teeth. The largest markets are Europe and the US which represent 48% and 24% of the global market. It is a highly attractive market with leading companies achieving gross margins in excess of 80%. The Neoss dental implant system is the most efficient dental implant system in the market. It combines market-leading functionality for the patient with the lowest level of complexity available for the Surgeon. In essence the system does more things, more simply and more economically than the current market leaders, and it does all those things at least as well if not better than its competitors. Recent product launches include: Neoss Tapered implant launched in 2012, incorporates the full benefits of the Neoss ProActive® surface. The combination of the tapered body and thread cutting and forming design provides extremely good seating in compromised or dense bone, and it apical profile aids placement in soft bone. The Neoss Tapered and Neoss ProActive® implants have a single abutment connection (excluding Ø3.25) providing great prosthetic freedom and a surgical kit with minimal components. Esthetiline – the complete anatomical restorative solution. Dental implant aesthetics and crowns have become increasingly refined in recent years. Launched in 2011, the Neoss Esthetiline Solution is the first to provide seamless restorative integration all the way through from implant placement to final crown restoration. Neoss ProActive® implant, launched 2009, an implant building on the proven design of the Neoss Bimodal Implant, is a Hydrophilic implant. The implant surface enhances protein aggregation and can accelerate fibrin network formation. Studies show the, patent pending, etched and blasted ProActive implant surface stimulates bone to form more rapidly and with a greater strength at the implant interface.
