In questo convegno di elevata valenza
scientifica, temi di grande attualità nell’ambito della medicina dell’adolescenza, delle
malattie croniche, ma anche problematiche psicosociali verranno trattati dai maggiori esperti internazionali.
Nell’ambito delle tematiche psicosociali, si
è voluto focalizzare l’attenzione sulla comunicazione con gli adolescenti e sulle problematiche assistenziali, tipiche di questo periodo della vita.
I lavori proseguiranno affrontando le più
frequenti patologie endocrine dell’età adolescenziale come: bassa statura, patologia
tiroidea, surrenalica, PCOS, etc. Altri temi
trattati riguarderanno la prevenzione vaccinale, i disturbi alimentari e si presterà particolare attenzione alla nutrizione e all’educazione alimentare dei giovani e giovanissimi.
Grande spazio è stato riservato alle problematiche e alle strategie terapeutiche della
talassemia e delle malattie oncologiche.
Hanno dato la loro adesione ricercatori
provenienti dai seguenti paesi: Italia, Spagna, Svizzera, Cipro, Grecia, Turchia, Egitto,
Qatar, Israele, Stati Uniti, Argentina, India.
Ho quindi l’ambizione di confidare che
nella nostra città e nella nostra Provincia
possa essere scritta una bella pagina che
contribuisca alla tolleranza, alla pace e al
benessere dei nostri adolescenti.
This year too, the city of
Catanzaro will welcome
the 3rd Joint Meeting on
Adolescent Medicine.
The meeting will deal with
issues of great topical
interest in the field of
adolescence medicine:
communication, problems
in assistance and in the
psycho-social field, chronic
diseases, endocrinegynaecological diseases
and eating disorders.
Great space will be
dedicated to present
therapies in haematology
and oncology, thus
focussing the attention
on thalassaemia and
haemoglobinopathy.
Researchers from
Argentina, Cyprus, Egypt,
Greece, India, Israel, Italy,
Spain, the United States,
Switzerland, Turkey, and
Qatar have joined us. All
together, we will be able
to devise joint projects
for adolescents, thereby
going beyond cultural
and religious barriers and
prejudices which do not
belong to the world of
science.
I do believe that these
days of study, in our city,
in our Province, will see us
writing together a beautiful
page aiming at tolerance,
peace and well-being of
our adolescents.
