New Pharma Technologies. Future inspired. April 17 – 19, 2013, Bologna, Italy www.pharmintech.it A world-renowned exhibition reaching out to the future. Europe’s most prominent trade event dedicated to technology for the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and personal care industry, now in its 4th edition. A key landmark for the business community: the 2010 edition reported as many as 350 exhibitors from every corner of the world. A crucial source of new contacts and a key business driver featuring the participation of major global industry players. April 19th 2013, on the occasion of Drug Week, a unique opportunity: Pharmintech and Cosmofarma will be held in co-location to create a truly not-to-miss event. [email protected] The President comments “The interaction between customers and suppliers is one of the strongest drivers of innovation. This is especially true for a highly technology-oriented industry such as pharmaceuticals. This is why Pharmintech, the global showcase of top-notch pharmaceutical products, services and the related supply chain acknowledged by the drug-producing industry has successfully established itself as a unique event in just a few editions. The entire upstream supply chain for the production of pharmaceuticals represents a powerful innovation driver due to its close, ongoing synergy with the pharmaceutical industry. The Italian pharmaceutical industry and the related supply chain are among the best in the world and are a pillar of the country’s economy. Every three years Pharmintech gives visibility to and promotes contacts between its business community and the upper echelons of the global pharmaceutical industry.” Sergio Dompé President of Pharmintech 2013 Meet at Pharmintech to build the future Figures never lie: in the last edition, 350 exhibiting companies – 35% of which from outside of Italy – claimed to be thoroughly pleased with the results reaped at Pharmintech. A truly extraordinary area open to all visitors and an interactive display where exhibitors can present successful case histories. Pharmintech and AFI: cooperation for mutual support Pharmintech enjoys the patronage of AFI, the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry – Scientific Company. Established since the very first edition, this partnership translates to ongoing synergy, mutual support and strategic event scheduling: the AFI Symposium, a yearly three-day meeting of extreme scientific value taking stock of key current issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry and Pharmintech, the undisputed leading event dedicated to technological innovation staged every three years. The Pharmintech Observatory: analysis and forecast of future scenarios The exhibition is flanked by a research project of great relevance for the sector: the Pharmintech Observatory, created with the support of the most influential pharmaceutical associations. The Observatory deals with monitoring the performance of the pharmaceutical industry through an in-depth economic and statistical analysis. The results are presented in two reports produced twice a year: the Yearly Report and the Economic Development Report, authored by Prof. Giampaolo Vitali, professor at the University of Turin and Secretary of GEI (Association of Business Economists). A valuable source of information for all industry professionals, in its last 2011 report the Observatory assessed the pharmaceutical supply chain as follows: Employment (number of employees)63,640 Output (mlns of €)10,920 Added value (mlns of €)3,599 Salaries (mlns of €)1,363 Investment (mlns of €)601 Promotion: substantial investment and a media plan matching up with the event Planning an outstanding event such as Pharmintech means ensuring that all exhibitors get the full international visibility they deserve. The promotional plan is supported by a carefully designed, diversified investment strategy capable of reaching the different targets involved and maximize the exhibition’s international reach in terms of visitors through a variety of media. The main promotional activities include: • press campaigns on main trade publications both in Italy and abroad; • presentation roadshows and press conferences held during major global events; • direct marketing actions; • constantly updated website in 6 languages; • periodical newsletters providing up-to-the-minute news on the event; • invitations to highly qualified and selected international buyers; • sponsorship of important pharmaceutical meetings and events. Bologna: the heart of industrial production hosts two great events In 2013 the Bologna Exhibition complex, one of the oldest and most renowned exhibition venues in Europe will host two complementary, closely connected events: Pharmintech, an outstanding global event dedicated to technology for the pharmaceutical, personal care and nutraceutical industry and Cosmofarma, the leading event of the pharmaceutical industry dedicated to Health Care, Beauty Care and pharmaceutical-related services. The two events, strategically overlapping for one day, are capable of boosting each other’s visitor count: a profitable partnership generating a strong synergy and cross-industry contacts. With Pharmintech, held from April 17th to 19th, and Cosmofarma, on stage from April 19th to 21st, Bologna will be at the core of the global pharmaceutical industry for an entire week. Pharmintech will be held in conjunction with Cosmofarma on Friday, April 19th 2013.
