The Jury of PIF 2014, 38 characters of global significance chaired by the director of the
Santa Cecilia Alfredo Santoloci, will assess the 350 participants.
Prestigious, international accordion. The acronym of the PIF 2014, 39th
edition of the event organized in the historic cradle of reed instrument, it fits
perfectly to the thickness of the jury that from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 will evaluate the
performances of 350 participants. Chaired by Alfredo Santoloci, director of the Conservatory
of Santa Cecilia in Rome, said he was "happy and honored to live an experience that
promises to be of the highest level artistic ", comprising 38 members, geographical
expression of 19 nations, four continents and a wide-ranging expertise gained in various
fields.
"Eyes and ears as a musician, absolute masters of that play and teach in conservatories, but
also the organizers of events, producers and reporters to provide a more global view, not
only or purely technique", says artistic director Roberto Lucanero explaining the principles

Jurors are divided into committees to follow the hearings organized by music genre
(classical, world music, variety show) and some will also have an active role as hosts, like

Freire, the first Portuguese accordionist to gain the title of Champion of the world in 1972,
with whom he signed the official twinning with the week of Alcobaça.
A noble list that ranges far and wide across the globe with the last minute inclusion of
Riccardo Tesi, pioneer of ethnic music in Italy, known and appreciated for its versatility and
unique style in symbiosis with his diatonic accordion.
