Val d’Agri Cemp motors
Motori Cemp per Val d’Agri
It is located in Basilicata, in a place called
Val d'Agri, the most productive Italian oilfield and it is one of the largest in Europe
among those on land. Owned by Eni with a
minority share of Shell, with
about 40 active oil wells, provides about the 10% of the
Country requirement and, recently, the Italian government
planed to double this percentage.
Therefore it is clear that most of
the Italian O&G players are operating there. Among our customers working on site, there are many
pumps manufacturers as Weir Gabbioneta,
Asco pompe, Flowserve, Engineering as
Bonatti, IREM and
Gavazzi and manufacturers of ventilation systems as
Ilmed Ventilazione
Industriale. At the
end of last year, we
supplied several
motors to the Italian
site, they have been
produced with special features such
as: steel fan, stainless steel screws, painting
cycle with a particularly complex specification and, in some cases, auxiliary terminal
box made of steel.

Adipec 2012
The most important event in the Middle East for the
Oil & Gas market, Adipec 2012, is over. We had already participated to a few previous editions of the exhibition but this time has seen us committed as never
before, for the area of the booth, for the quantity of
shown products and for the large number of welcomed
visitors. We can certainly claim to have had a
very positive response to our growing commitment to the UAE area.

Cemp automation
L’automazione in Cemp
Paraphrasing Henry Ford, motors could be chosen in
any color but blue. Indeed, even though the blue is
the standard, Cemp has always provided on request
any other color but the growing demand by many
customers to have motors of various colors has
pushed the company to get the first automated painting system, now as the sequence shows, motors still
are born blue, but thanks to the robot, they change
color ... automatically. The system uses epoxy electrostatically charged paint, an electrode arranged on
the spray gun, charges the paint particles negatively,
while the motor to be painted is connected to a positive pole. Thanks to the electric field created in this
way, the paint particles are attracted by the motor
and are distributed in a uniform manner, involving
also the parts not in view. This painting system ensures:
quality
finishes,
paint
savings,
greater
resistance to corrosion and low
environmental
impact.
Parafrasando Henry Ford, i motori potevano essere
scelti di qualsiasi colore purché blu. In realtà anche
se il blu è lo standard, Cemp ha sempre fornito su
richiesta qualsiasi altro colore ma la crescente esigenza da parte di molti clienti di avere motori di
varie tinte ha spinto la società a dotarsi di un primo
sistema di verniciatura automatizzata, ora come
dimostra la sequenza, i motori continuano a nascere
blu ma, grazie al robot, cambiano colore... automaticamente. Il sistema utilizza vernice epossidica a
carica elettrostatica, un elettrodo sistemato sulla
pistola carica negativamente le particelle di vernice, mentre il motore da verniciare viene collegato
ad un polo positivo. Grazie al campo elettrico così
creato le particelle di vernice vengono attratte dal
motore e si distribuiscono in maniera uniforme, interessando anche le parti non a vista. Questo sistema di verniciatura assicura: finiture di qualità, risparmio di vernice,

resistenza
alla corrosione e
contenuto
impatto
ambientale.

New project: brake motors with hand release
Nuovo progetto: motori con freno con sblocco
The development of the large size brake motors goes
on, introduced in Hanover for the first time, into the
last issue of our newsletter we reported about the
version with encoder, auxiliary terminal box and
forced ventilation, while time we introduce a layout
that also adds the
manual brake release. This is a
safety device
which provides a
manual intervention. The lever, in
the picture on the
top of the frame,
is inserted into
the slot and allows to rotate a
pivot which releases the braking disc and consequently the mechanism connected to the motor shaft. When releasing
pressure on the lever the brake automatically returns
active, i.e. in the locked position. The explosionproof brake motors developed by our engineering
department, meet very special and complex requirements and are the most advanced part of our production.

grande, presentati ad Hannover per la prima volta,
nello scorso numero della nostra newsletter abbiamo segnalato la variante con encoder, scatola ausiliaria e servo ventilazione, questa volta presentiamo
una realizzazione a cui
si aggiunge anche lo
sblocco manuale del
freno. Si tratta di un
dispositivo di sicurezza
che prevede, appunto,
un intervento manuale.
L’asta di manovra, che
si vede sopra la custodia nella foto accanto,
viene inserita nella feritoia e consente di ruotare un perno mediante
il quale si libera il disco frenante e di conseguenza il
meccanismo collegato al motore. Rilasciando l’asta
il freno torna automaticamente attivo, cioè in posizione di fermo. Questi motori antideflagranti con
freno sono tutti sviluppati dal nostro reparto di ingegneria interna, soddisfano esigenze molto particolari e complesse e rappresentano la parte più sofisticata della nostra produzione.

The conference was held last December in Lisbon, at
the Pestana Palace hotel, organized by IRN, a company specialized in senior level summits in the raw
materials sector. Included among the issues discussed in Lisbon: the situation in Mauritania and in
Algeria, the explorations in the countries bordering the eastern shore of the Atlantic, the
North African economy and the future of the
major Oil & Gas companies in Europe. The latter, were all present, at the highest
levels, and have been involved in
conferences, round tables and panel
discussions with various oil agencies and government authorities of
the Countries in the area.

meet the elite of the region Oil &
Gas sector and to understand the
future developments in the that

Il convegno si è tenuto lo scorso dicembre a Lisbona, presso l’hotel Pestana Palace, organizzato da
IRN, società specializzata in summit di alto livello
nel settore delle materie prime.
Tra i temi trattati a Lisbona c’erano: la situazione in
Mauritania e in Algeria, le ricerche
nei Paesi che si affacciano sulla
sponda est dell’Atlantico, l’economia
del nord Africa e il futuro delle maggiori società petrolifere in Europa.
Quest’ultime, erano tutte presenti ai
massimi livelli e sono state impegnate in convegni, dibattiti e tavole
rotonde con le varie agenzie petrolifere e le autorità governative dei
vari Paesi dell’area. Per noi erano
presenti il direttore commerciale
Luca Chiesa e l’area manager per
l’Africa Nitin Puri, la riunione è
stata un’occasione unica per incontrare il gota del settore Oil & Gas
della regione e per capire i prossiLuca Chiesa

Meeting with Kolmer
Incontro con Kolmer
At the end of October we flew to Netherland to meet
our distributor, company Kolmer Elektromotoren
BV with whom we have a commercial partnership
that lasts over a couple of decades. The
two companies are working side by side
in many areas: first of all in the oil & gas
sector, than into petrochemical and last
but not least, with particular emphasis in the
shipbuilding and offshore industry. As evidence of the efforts
made in this area, in
this issue we report an
important supply contract, made through
Kolmer, with Mampaey. In addition of
this, always in the marine industry, we have
recently presented our
products at exhibitions
like Europort in Rotterdam and Neva in
Moscow.

Besides this, Kolmer
also distributes our motors to manufacturers of
pumps, fans and compressors. In short, an excellent
example of partnership, profitable for both companies, something of which we are proud.

che dura ormai da un
paio di decenni. Molte
sono le aree in cui le due
aziende si trovano ad
operare fianco a fianco:
prima di tutto nel settore
dell’oil & gas, poi nel
petrolchimico e infine
ma con particolare rilievo, nella cantieristica
navale e nell’offshore. A testimonianza dell’impegno
profuso in questo settore, in
questo stesso numero, riferiamo della importante fornitura fatta con Kolmer, alla
Mampaey. Oltre a questo, di
recente, sempre nel settore
marino, abbiamo presentato
i nostri prodotti alla fiera
Europort di Rotterdam e al
Luca Chiesa
Neva di Mosca. Inoltre Kolmer distribuisce i nostri motori a costruttori di pompe, ventilatori e compressori. Insomma un ottimo
esempio di partnership giustamente proficua per entrambe le aziende della quale andiamo orgogliosi.

The work of all our colleagues continues with the
target to obtain the qualification of supplier by the
major oil & gas market players. This time we are
pleased to announce the qualification into the vendor list of one of
the most dynamic companies in
this industry, the Norwegian Statoil. A company that lays on top
of its scale of values, health,
safety, and attention to the environment so much to give itself, as
the first priority a safe and efficient operability with
the goal to achieve zero accidents.
The qualification work has required two years, certainly time well spent, seeing the result which confirms us, one more time, our business strategy.
Prosegue l’attività di tutti i colleghi mirata a ottenere la qualifica di fornitori da parte delle più importanti società del settore. Questa volta siamo lieti di
poter annunciare l’ingresso nella “vendor list”
di una delle società più dinamiche del settore, la
norvegese Statoil. Un’azienda che pone in cima
alla propria scala di valori la sicurezza, la salute e l’attenzione per l’ambiente tanto da darsi
come prima priorità un’operatività sicura ed
efficiente con l’obiettivo di avere
il livello zero negli infortuni personali. Il lavoro di qualifica è
durato 2 anni, tempo che riteniamo certamente molto ben speso
visto il risultato che ci conferma, ancora una volta,
nella nostra strategia commerciale.
