SERVICES
The ICT has implemented an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) Cloud in order to support the activities of
laboratories involved in the project, with the goal of providing computing power, storage and other
services for Clouds.
A “twin” Cloud constantly aligned with the primary one ensures service continuity (and disaster
recovery).
The consolidation of our data network, carried out under the project SILA, provides an efficient
communication mean making the basis for the implementation of a computational high performance
grid of different clusters located in some laboratories. This grid is meant to be used for simulations and
HPC computations.
