I
n uno dei siti più prestigiosi di Francia, Chantilly, si
è tenuto nei giorni 10 e 11 agosto il Breeder’s European Championship, organizzato dall’Arabian Horse
Organization. Per chi ancora non conoscesse a fondo questa organizzazione, vi dico che è composta da un team di
persone che condivide un pensiero comune - l’amore per il
cavallo Arabo - e che investe molte energie e denaro nell’allevamento del PSA. A questo proposito voglio cominciare
questo articolo pubblicando qui sotto le parole con cui il
Chairman dell’associazione, HRH Prinze Abudulaziz Bin
Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, ha saputo esprimere questo concetto nella prima pagina del programma dell’evento:

T
he Breeders’ European Championship, organized by
the Arabian Horse Organization, took place on 10th
& 11th August in one of the most prestigious locations in France.
For those of our readers who do not know the above-mentioned Organization well, I would like to point out that it is
formed by a group Arab countries who share a common love
of Arabian Horses and who invest a lot of energy and money
in breeding them. The words of HRH Prince Prinze Abudulaziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – Chairman of
the Organization – best describe this concept in the first page
of the event catalogue:

Questo pensiero racchiude in sè l’amore, il desiderio e
la necessità di tutti di continuare la più antica tradizione
allevatoriale della storia del cavallo: quella del Purosangue Arabo! Tradizione allevatoriale che viene riconosciuta e premiata in show di questo tipo anche grazie
a montepremi di tutto rispetto e a regole tassative per
potervi partecipare: i cavalli devono essere nati in Europa, registrati alla Waho, essere di proprietà dello stesso
allevatore e non essere mai stati premiati con medaglia
Gold, Silver o Bronze in uno show di classe A.
Il montepremi messo a disposizione per lo show di
Chantilly - pari a 170.000 euro - era così suddiviso: 1000
euro a ogni cavallo classificato fino al 5° posto in tutte
le 12 categorie; poi in campionato 10.000 euro al Gold,
5.000 al Silver e 3.000,00 al Bronze. Oltre a questi sono
stati assegnati anche due premi speciali - da 5.000 euro
ciascuno - per il miglior allevatore, ritirato quest’anno
da Mr. Giancarlo Buzzi per la produzione dello stallone Ajman Moniscione e per il miglior handler che ha
visto vincitori ex-aequo Mr. Frank Sponle e Mr. Paolo
Capecci. A riprova della serietà dello show, sono stati
messi a disposizione dei Veterinari di campo, ben 18 kit
anti doping, uno per ogni eventuale medaglia vinta in
campionato.
Ma veniamo allo show. Molte sono le persone venute da
tutto il mondo per essere presenti a questo meraviglioso
evento, organizzato e supportato da Mr. Essam Abdulla,
Vice Presidente Echao, dal Dr. Mohamed Machmoum
e da Mr. Ahmed Abdelrazek e sapientemente coordinato dall’instancabile Mrs. Fredericke Kopp con il suo
staff. Hanno inoltre contribuito Mr. Mike Ashmore con
la sua ormai nota voce, Mr. Kristof Heymans per la musica, Cecile Marleix con le fotografie che trovate anche
in questo articolo, Mr. William Rechardot de Choisey
per il coordinamento della stampa. Inoltre, come sempre

This thought encompasses the love, the desire and the need
of all involved to continue with the most ancient of horse
breeding traditions: that of Arabian Horses!
This breeding tradition is recognized and rewarded in shows
like this with significant prizes and strict rules for those taking part: horses have to be born in Europe, registered at
WAHO, be owned by their breeder and must never have
won a Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal in an Title Show during the last three years. The total prize money of the Chantilly show was more than Euro 170,000 divided as follows:
Euro 1,000 for each horse that qualified in the first 5 places of all 13 classes; Euro 10,000 for the Gold Medal winner in the final Championship; Euro 5,000 for the Silver
Medal winner and Euro 3,000 for the Bronze Medal
winner.
There were also two special prizes of Euro 5,000 each
which went to the Best Breeder – won this year by Mr.
Giancarlo Buzzi for his stallion Ajman Moniscione - and
the Best Handler, won by Mr. Frank Sponle and Mr. Paolo Capecci who shared the prize.
18 anti doping kits (one for each available medal in the
Championship) were made available to the Vets – further
proof of the seriousness of the competition.
But now let’s take a look at the show…
Many people from all over the world travelled to be present at this wonderful event organized and supported by
the ECAHO Board Member Mr. Essam Abdulla, Dr.
Mohamed Machmoum and Mr. Ahmed Abdelrazek, and
coordinated by the expertise of the untiring Mrs. Fredericke Kopp and her staff. Mr. Mike Ashmore with his familiar popular voice, Mr. Kristof Heymans with his music,
Cecile Marleix with the beautiful photos you will find in
this article and Mr. William Rechardot de Choisey as press
coordinator, all contributed to a successful outcome of this
show.

quando si svolge un importante show, oltre a noi di Tutto Arabi erano presenti gli amici di Arabian Essence per
la diretta streaming che ha avuto più di 4000 spettatori
nel mondo.
L’organizzazione ha inoltre offerto, per tutti coloro che
lo desiderassero, una visita al “Musée Vivant du Cheval”
di Chantily, uno dei più grandi e più visitati siti equestri
del mondo (oltre 200.000 visitatori all’anno).
Una giuria di tutto rispetto è stata invitata a valutare i
138 cavalli iscritti in gara, dalla Germania Mrs. Claudia
Darius, da UAE Mrs. Deidre Hyde, dall’Australia Mrs.
Marion Richmond, dall’Italia il Dr. Gianmarco Aragno,
dal Sud Africa Mr. William Brown, dall’Olanda Mr.
Cedes Bakker e infine dalla Jordania Mr. Noufal Kahook. In campo come Ring Master Mrs. Anna Koziol dalla Polonia. Alla Commissione Disciplinare Mrs. Vivian
Reisel-Van Eerten dall’Olanda, Dr. Laura Mascagna
dall’Italia e Mr. Kaies Ouelhazi da UAE.
Ho cercato di descrivervi la magnificenza di questo
show nel miglior modo possibile, ma la cornice con lo
sfondo della reggia di Chantilly, l’eleganza dei tavoli vip,
l’alta qualità del catering, i profumi delle campagne verdi e ben curate, l’accoglienza dell’organizzazione… beh,
quelli non si possono descrivere con le parole: dovrete
venire personalmente ad assaporarli il prossimo anno!

As with every important show, Tutto Arabi joined forces with our friends from Arabian Essence with their live
streaming followed by over 4,000 people around the world.
The Organizers offered all those interested the possibility of
visiting the “Musée Vivant du Cheval” in Chantilly, one
of the biggest and most visited equestrian museums in the
world (over 200,000 visitors per year).
A quality team of Judges was invited to judge the 138
horses that took part in the venue: Mrs. Claudia Darius
from Germany, Mrs. Deidre Hyde from UAE, Mrs. Marion Richmond from Australia, Dr. Gianmarco Aragno
from Italy, Mr. William Brown from South Africa, Mr.
Cedes Bakker from Holland and Mr. Noufal Kahook from
Jordan. The Ring Master was Mrs. Anna Koziol from
Poland. The Disciplinary Committee was formed by Mrs.
Vivian Reisel Van Eerten from Holland, Dr. Laura Mascagna from Italy and Mr. Kaies Ouelhazi from UAE.
I have tried my best to describe how spectacular this show
was, but the beautiful Palace of Chantilly as a background,
the elegance of the VIP tables, the high quality catering, the
lovely smells of the well-kept countryside, the hospitality of
the Organizers ….. well, all this cannot be described by
words! Next year you will have to come personally and see
it all for yourself!
