Please be as generous as possible. There will be two collections on both Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. We pray for your continued generosity. The Annual Diocesan Support Appeal will be starting up again shortly. Our Assigned Goal is $71,000. Lourdes water is available at the rectory. Msgr. Cassato LENTEN REGULATIONS FASTING: All Catholics between the ages 18 and 59 are bound to fast on ASH WEDNESDESDAY and GOOD FRIDAY. Fasting means limiting oneself to a single full meal and avoiding food between meals. Two very light meals are permitted. ABSTINENCE: All Catholics who have reached their 14th year are bound to ABSTAIN TOTALLY FROM MEAT ALL FRIDAYS OF LENT. EASTER DUTY: After a person has received First Communion, he or she must receive Communion at least once a year, during the Easter Season. Come cristiano devo dire che non credo nella morte senza resurrezione: se mi uccidono, risorgerò nel popolo salvadoregno. Lo dico senza superbia, con la più grande umiltà. In quanto pastore ho l'obbligo, per divina disposizione, di dare la mia vita per coloro che amo ossia per tutti i salvadoregni, anche per coloro che potrebbero assassinarmi. Se le minacce giungessero a compimento, fin d'ora offro a Dio il mio sangue per la redenzione del Salvador. Il martirio è una grazia di Dio che non credo di meritare. Ma se Dio accetta il sacrificio della mia vita, il mio sangue sia seme di libertà e segno che la speranza sarà presto realtà. La mia morte, se Dio l'accetta, sia per la libertà del mio popolo e sia una testimonianza di speranza per il futuro. Può dire anche, se mi uccideranno che perdono e benedico quelli che lo faranno. End of the Year Retreat - May 13-14 St. Simon &Jude 14 Hour Retreat has you look at where you are and where you want to go. Through activities and small group discussions take some time to see what road you are walking on! Spring/Summer Retreat - June 8th St. Frances Cabrini A final three hour retreat night for all youth as they look back and look ahead, as spring turns into summer. There will also be several summer opportunities for retreats and service programs. Unless stated all programs take place in Brooklyn, NY.
