Amen Page 7 St. Athanasius Church July 12, 2015 XV DOMINGO DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO Los apóstoles habían convivido con Jesús durante tres años , observando sus milagros , recibiendo sus enseñanzas e incluso escuchando la explicación personal que les daba de las parábolas. Estos momentos de preparación doctrinal y práctica fueron utiles para que los doce salieran al mundo como delegados personales de Jesús a llevar el mensaje de la vida nueva. Los doce tenían una comunión personal y directa con el Señor y él les había confiado una gran responsabilidad , por eso es más sorprendente quie ellos no lograran entender quién era él verdaderamente. Esta falta de comprensión se veía ya desde antes, cuando los apóstoles no entendieron las Parábolas de Jesús y cuando se quedaron asombrados viendo que él calmaba la tormenta. Los apóstoles estaban en una posición privilegiada por su cercanía al Señor sin embargo en todo el Evangelio según San marcos se ve claramente que no lograban entender el mensaje. Esto nos lleva a deducir que la verdadera comprensión de la obra y la enseñanza de Jesús se logra sólo a la luz de la muerte y la resurrección de Cristo y de la venida del Espiritu Santo. Consciente de la debilidad humana de los apóstoles , el Señor les dio instrucciones especificas respecto a la misión que debían cumplir. Les advirtió que no llevarían provisiones , sino que confiaran en Dios y en la hospitalidad de quienes aceptaran sus palabras. Esto contrasta diametralmente con la tendencia actual de proveerse de todo lo necesario para una obra determinada , incluso cuando tratamos de servir a Dios y llevar su mensaje. Los humanos tendemos a tartar de controlar a Dios para que él haga lo que creemos que justa y buenamente necesitamos. Mejor haríamos en estar dispuestos a abandonarnos en sus manos para que él hiciera con nosotros lo que él considere justo y conveniente. The form is available in the rectory or can be downloaded from our website. We even have an E-form so you complete this form without writing. Just e-mail it back to us, or print it out and drop it off. All Requests must be made using our form. E-mail completed form to AnnaMarie Scuteri at [email protected]. This is the ONLY way to reserve a room here at St. A's. The group listed on the parish calendar is the group that has the right to use that space. If you are not a designated ministry of our parish, permission must be granted from our Pastor, Msgr. Cassato, a rental fee is paid, and a lease agreement completed in Sunday Bulletin Deadlines The Sunday Bulletin must be e-mailed to our printer by 10a.m. Monday. All announcements must be submitted in WRITTEN form only (handwritten, typed, computer, fax, e-mailed, etc) by 3p.m. Friday. Announcements received after the deadline will be published the following week. No one on the parish staff will assume the responsibility for your ministry’s articles. Include your bulletin articles in your advance planning for your event. All Flyers need to be approved by a staff member and submitted by Email only to [email protected].
