Quintieri co-opted onto the BoD
Today's meeting of the Board of Directors of Veneto Banca, chaired by Mr Pierluigi Bolla, following up on
what was announced on 17 November 2015, co-opted Professor Beniamino Quintieri and resolved to appoint
the Lawyer Cristina Rossello, already a director, as the new Deputy Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
The appointment as Deputy Chairperson of the director Rossello, after the recent co-option of Joyce Victoria
Bigio, confirms the attention paid by Veneto Banca to making the most of the skills of the female component
in the Bank's administrative and managerial bodies. The entry of Prof. Quintieri, in virtue of his recognised
academic achievements, including at the international level, strengthens further the wealth of experience of
the Board of Directors.
The Bank's Board of Directors offers the new Deputy Chairperson Cristina Rossello and the director
Beniamino Quintieri its best wishes for the important positions that they have been called upon to hold.

Cristina Rossello, Deputy Chairperson of Veneto Banca
Cristina Rossello is a lawyer at the Supreme Court level, specialised in commercial law, banking law and
securities law, with offices in Milan, Rome and Brussels. Since 2014 she has been a Director of Veneto
Banca, where she holds the positions of Chairperson of the Internal Audit and Risk Committee, Chairperson
of the Appointments Committee and Member of the Strategic Committee.
A lawyer for listed companies and important family firms, she also has experience in the field of television
rights and publishing more generally. She has experience in Extraordinary Administration (FISI
Commissioner) and in Judicial Administration of sequestered and confiscated assets (AFAG post-graduate
Judicial Administrator, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan) and as a Receiver of Companies (Special
Receiver with appointment by the Presiding Judge of the Ordinary Court of Milan). She also deals with sports
law, with institutional duties for CONI (Italian National Olympic Commission), and is lecturer on the
advanced course of Sporting Law and Sporting Justice of the University of Milan.
She is a Director of Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A. Member of the Internal Audit and Risk Committee,
Member of the Related-Party Transactions Committee, Member of the Remuneration and Appointments
Committee, Director of Branca Real Estate S.r.l., Fratelli Branca Distillerie S.r.l. and Branca International
S.p.A. and Chairperson of Centro Studi Fratelli Branca S.r.l.
As regards experience in the banking field, she also dealt with the legal side of Credito Italiano's takeover
bid for Credito Romagnolo collaborating with Ariberto Mignoli and then working alongside him in managing
the Rolo Banca1437 shareholders' agreement. Again with Ariberto Mignoli, she handled the judicial defence
of Banca Popolare di Crema against the attempted takeover by Preatoni.
For the Aletti family, she handled the operation to sell Banca Aletti to Banca Popolare di Verona.
With Attilio Ventura, Luigi Milla and Piero Barucci she worked on the operation to sell Banca Leonardo to
Gerardo Braggiotti.
Secretary of the Mediobanca shareholders' agreement for over 15 years, she represented the vote for the
four different successive Chairpersons: Ariberto Mignoli, Piergaetano Marchetti, Cesare Geronzi, Angelo
Caso'.
The author of books and articles in civil and commercial law journals and daily newspapers, she is a member
of scientific and editorial committees in the legal and corporate field and is a consultant for the Commissions
of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
Already identified in 2011 among the 70 Top “Ready For Board Women” of the Professional Women’s
Association, the next year she was among the 165 Top Europe PWA “Ready For Board Women”.
Liguria Regional Award for professional excellence, International Women's Profile Award for professional
excellence, International Expo Luxe Award for commitment in the legal profession and excellence in the field
of financial law.
In 2011 the Mayor of Milan, Letizia Moratti, on international women's day, dedicated to her the letter B of
the Alphabet of Women for the category "B for Business" in recognition of her "excellence and ethics in
business". FIDAPA BPW Italy SV Award – Career Women – for: “the seriousness and unquestionable abilities
shown in the legal profession, an example of commitment and excellence”.
Representation award of the President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, for having conceived, promoted
and organised the Women and the Future Project Conference “the female contribution in the professional
world, in art and in businesses for the development of the economy” in 2011 and 2012 and for having
conceived, promoted and organised the “Women and the Future for Europe Project” Conference in 2014. In
March 2015, the Province of Brescia presented her with the National “Women who Made It” Award.
The President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, awarded her his Representation Medal for having
conceived, promoted and organised the 2015 "Give me a place to stand, and I shall lift the world”
conference.
Creator and Founder of the “Women and the Future Project”, of the “Junior Woman Profile” award, of the
web community “Parola di Donne” (Women's Word), Honorary Chairperson of “Women of 2000” and
Chairperson of the Women and the Future Project.
Cristina Rossello was born on 24 December 1961 in Finale Ligure (SV) and graduated in Law from the
University of Genoa with 110 and distinction, publication of thesis and mention of merit in the Annals of the
Faculty.

Beniamino Quintieri, Director of Veneto Banca
Full Professor of International Economics and Head of the Faculty of Economics, at “Tor Vergata” University
of Rome, Quintieri is Chairperson of the Manlio Masi Foundation (National Observatory for
Internationalisation and Trade) and Management Board Member for the Bank of Italy Rome Office, Director
of the CEIS (Centre for Economic and International Studies) Tor Vergata Foundation, Founder and manager
of the ITSG (Italian Trade Study Group), an association of Italian scholars of International Economics.
Previously, he was coordinator of the “Italian Excellence” project in Moscow for the Prime Minister’s Office
(2012), Chairperson of the Strategic Committee of the Global Network “Agenzia per l’internazionalizzazione
S.C.p.A.” (2012/2013), General Commissioner of the Government for the Universal Exhibition of Shanghai
2010 (2007-2011), Economic Expert of the CNEL (2008-2009), Chairperson of the National Institute for
Foreign Trade (2001-2005), Director of SACE (2002-2007), Director of the CEIS of the “Tor Vergata”
University of Rome (1998-2001).
He has also been a member of the Advisory Board of Sviluppo Italia, of the Management Committee of the
Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, of the National Commission for the Promotion of
Italian Culture Abroad, of the Italo-Russian Discussion Forum and of the Board of Directors of Italia Cinema.
Quintieri graduated from the La Sapienza University of Rome and did further studies at the London School of
Economics and University College, London. Professor in the Faculties of Economics of the Luiss, “G.
D’Annunzio” Abruzzi and Molise Universities and in the Higher School of the Public Administration; he is the
author/editor of twenty books and more than sixty articles published in scientific journals on subjects
relating to International Economics, Public Finance, Labour Economics, Macroeconomics and Applied
Economics
