The scanned images of the bulletins of the International Seismological Summary (ISS) have been obtained as part of a global earthquake relocation project (Villaseñor et al., 1997) initiated with funding from the US National Science Foundation through grant EAR-9725140 and collected by SGA Storia Geofisica Ambiente (Bologna) on behalf of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (Rome), in the frame of Euroseismos project. A digital hypocenter file of the ISS (Villaseñor and Engdahl, 2005) can be obtained from the USGS web site: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/scitech/iss/ These data are considered public domain and may be freely distributed or copied for non-profit purposes provided the previous references are quoted.
