U
na ventina di nostri binomi sono saliti nella
bella cittadina a nord di Monaco per disputare le importanti gare di endurance che Kreuth
ogni anno propone in campo mondiale.
Vive tra grandi boschi, verdissime foreste e propone
un percorso con stupendi sentieri che un endurista di
stile non può non amare per sé e per il proprio cavallo.
Nella 160 km successo di Yousif Al Taher, cavaliere
del Bahrain, su Siam de Malignos alla media di 16,80
km/ora, seguito dai due connazionali Jaffer Mirza su
Kefir de Sommait e Abdulrahman Mohammed Al su
Mattia Mia Sebastian.
Quarta una padrona di casa, la tedesca Sibille Markert, poi ancora un cavaliere del Bahrain e la nostra
brava Simona Garatti con Incandescente che s’aggiudica l’ambita “best condition”.

A
bout two dozens of Italian pairs went to Kreuth for
the two world-level endurance races that this lovely
town north of Munich organizes every year.
This race takes place in and out of large green woods and
the track consists of wonderful paths that experienced endurance riders cannot help but love for themselves and for
the horse.
The winner of the 160 km race was Yousif Al Taher
(Bahrain) on Siam de Malignos, average speed 16.80
kmph, followed by his fellow countrymen Jaffer Mirza on
Kefir de Sommait and Abdulrahman Mohammed Al on
Mattia Mia Sebastian.
The fourth place went to one of the local riders, Sibille
Markert, then another rider from Bahrain and then the talented Italian Simona Garatti with Incandescente, which
was awarded the “best condition”.
The 120 km CEI** race was also won by a rider from
Bahrain, Ahmed Abdulla al Hazza on Shar Rushkin, average speed 18.00 kmph. The second place went to Andrea

Si va verso il campionato europeo “Open” di Assisi a
fine settembre e tutti “affilano nell’ombra le spade” per
trovarsi preparati per l’importante occasione.
Intanto la nostra commissione composta da Sergio
Tommasi ed i dott. Perniola e Fantoni ha selezionato i
binomi all’altezza della situazione, sei dei quali, quattro per la squadra e due per l’individuale, scenderanno
in campo in Umbria.
Scelta che ci pare azzeccata anche se gli avversari europei sicuramente non ci lasceranno tanto spazio.

The Open European Championship of Assisi is approaching, and everyone is “sharpening their swords in the shade”, getting ready for this important event.
In the meantime, the Italian Commission, consisting of
Sergio Tommasi, Mr. Perniola and Mr. Fantoni, has selected the pairs that are up for the challenge. Of these, six pairs
will compete in Umbria (four for the team race, two for the
individual one).
We believe that this is the right choice, even though the European competitors are not going to leave us too much space.
