Tenuto da medici specialisti in Malattie Infettive, se necessario in presenza di un
mediatore culturale, l’ambulatorio offre ai migranti:
1. Prestazioni gratuite:
s visita medica,
s esami per HIV, epatite B, epatite C, tubercolosi e malattie sessualmente trasmesse;

Prestazioni con pagamento del ticket:
esami per la diagnosi di malattie che possono essere acquisite nel paese di origine,
esami per eventuali vaccinazioni (morbillo, rosolia e parotite),
esami per gli approfondimenti diagnostici con esami ematochimici e radiologici.
L’equipe medica, se necessario in collaborazione con altri specialisti ospedalieri, prende
in carico il paziente per la cura delle malattie riscontrate, la proﬁlassi della tubercolosi
(gratuita), il counseling e l’educazione sanitaria. Invia i pazienti presso i centri della ASL
per le vaccinazioni opportune (epatite B, epatite A, morbillo, rosolia e parotite).
Presso l’ambulatorio è presente anche un mediatore culturale per il rispetto delle
differenze etniche, religiose e culturali che condizionano differenti comportamenti umani;
per la traduzione con gli operatori; per la comunicazione con le autorità del paese di
origine e la famiglia; per le informazioni su modalità di fruizione di servizi pubblici e
socio-assistenziali.

Held by doctors specialized in infectious diseases, and if necessary with the presence of a cultural mediator, the centre
provides to migrants:
1. Free outpatient service:
s medical examination,
s testing for HIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases;
2. Outpatient service upon payment of a “ticket”:
s testing for diseases eventually acquired in the country of origin,
s testing for vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella),
s blood tests and imaging (radiology) for further investigations.
The medical team, if necessary in collaboration with other hospital physicians, takes care of the patient for treatment of diagnosed
diseases, tuberculosis prophylaxis (free), counseling and health education. The center directs patients at the ASL for required
vaccinations (hepatitis B, hepatitis A, measles, mumps, rubella).
The center provides patients with the support of a cultural mediator (translator) to take into account the wide range of
ethnic, religious and cultural differences that may affect human behavior, for the traslation with the hospital operators, for the
communication with the authorities of the country of origin and the family members, to provide info on how to access to public
and social care services.
