Biografia
Salvadori Diego nasce a Murano nel 1956 da una famiglia di vetrai e decoratori da quattro generazioni. Dopo gli studi artistici inizia la sua attività di
artigiano decoratore con il padre Giuseppe, che già operava nel settore da più di trent’anni.
La collaborazione con disegnatori e artisti lo spingono verso nuove esperienze, affrontando nuove e diverse soluzioni tecniche. Questo, aggiunto al
“patrimonio tecnico e culturale” di famiglia, gli permette di spaziare nei più vari campi della decorazione e lavorazione del vetro: da oggetti della più
classica tradizione muranese, arrivando a riprodurre e reinterpretare quadri d’artisti famosi; ad opere che sono il risultato di una più complessa
elaborazione personale, dove cerca la sintesi tra varie discipline dell’arte vetraria.
Questa sua vitalità lo porterà a esporre nelle più importanti mostre nazionali ed internazionali: In particolare nel 1995 venne invitato in Giappone al “
International Traditional Graft “, come rappresentante dell’ artigianato italiano.
GARANZIA
Tutte le opera da me create sono realizzate secondo la migliore tradizione muranese: Ogni oggetto è soffiato a bocca e lavorato a mano con l’ uso di
smalti vetrificabili e di metalli preziosi che una volta cotti, in appositi forni rimangono inalterati nel tempo. L’ assenza di processi meccanici e l’ uso di
pochi e tradizionali attrezzi danno all’ oggetto il valore dell’ unicità, le eventuali lievi imperfezioni, non rappresentano un difetto, bensì una garanzia
di lavorazione manuale.
BIOGRAPHY
Diego Salvadori was born in Murano in 1956 in a family of glassmakers and decorators for four generations. After studying Art, he began his career as
a craftsman decorator with his father Giuseppe, who was already working in the glass sector for over thirty years.
Cooperations with designers and artists led him to new experiences, facing new and different technical solutions. This, in addition to the technical
and cultural heritage of the family, allows him to range over the most various fields of decoration and glass processing: from pieces of the classic
Murano tradition, to reproduction and reinterpretation of paintings by famous artists, to works that are the result of a more complex and personal
process, where he seeks a synthesis of various disciplines of glass processing.
His vitality finally led him to exhibit his works in some of the most important national and international showrooms. In particular, in 1995 he was
invited to Japan for the International Traditional Graft, as a representative of the Italian craftsmanship.
WARRANTY
All the works that I, Diego Salvadori, created, are made respecting the best tradition of Murano. Each item is mouth-blown and hand-crafted with the
use of vitrifiable enamels and precious metals that once cooked in special ovens remain unchanged over time. The use of a few traditional tools
instead of mechanical processes give the object its uniqueness. Any slight imperfection must not be seen as a defect, but as a guarantee of manual
processing.
